Today we celebrate the American flag — a symbol of freedom, unity, courage, and the values that bring us together as a nation.

On Flag Day, we honor the generations of Americans who have served, sacrificed, and worked to build the communities we call home. As we proudly display the Stars and Stripes, we are reminded of the strength found in service, resilience, and civic pride.

The Gold Coast Business Association wishes our members, neighbors, and local businesses a meaningful Flag Day. Thank you to those who have served our country and to all who continue to contribute to the vitality of our communities every day.

Happy Flag Day! 🇺🇸

🍕 NEW MEMBER IN THE NEWS 🍕

The Gold Coast Business Association is excited to welcome Pizzeria Milo to our growing business community!

A recent feature highlighted the inspiring story of owner Cristian Milo, a 24-year-old Glen Head resident whose dream of opening his own pizzeria was inspired by his late grandfather, a former pizzeria owner. Rooted in family tradition, Italian heritage, and a passion for authentic food, Cristian is bringing a true taste of Italy to Glen Head.

Located at 133 Glen Head Road, Pizzeria Milo will feature pizza made with a 72-hour fermented dough, imported Italian ingredients, premium local products, and a commitment to quality over quantity. Every detail has been carefully considered to create something special for the community.

What makes this story even better is that Pizzeria Milo will be a family-run business, operated alongside Cristian's parents, continuing a legacy built on hard work, passion, and hospitality.

The anticipated opening is just about a month away, and we couldn't be more excited to see this new local business open its doors.

Stay tuned for updates, opening announcements, behind-the-scenes progress, and details about the official Gold Coast Business Association Ribbon Cutting Ceremony as we welcome Pizzeria Milo to the neighborhood.

Please join us in congratulating Cristian and his family on this exciting new chapter!

A special thank you to our outstanding panelists — Elizabeth Aloni of Schneps Media, Ellen Reynolds of Richner Media, Mike McGowan of Ampere Business Services, and Dawn Costello of Douglas Elliman — for sharing their expertise on marketing, advertising, branding, and business growth.

Topics included:
✔️ What makes advertising effective
✔️ Common marketing mistakes business owners make
✔️ Building credibility and trust in the age of AI
✔️ Using AI to create content and streamline marketing efforts
✔️ Strategies for attracting new customers and serving existing clients

We also heard great contributions from many of our members, including Bill Mozer, who discussed the power of podcasting, and Celeste Gullo, who shared some of the innovative marketing techniques that have helped make her a top producer.

Most importantly, the meeting showcased exactly what makes the GCBA special: local business owners sharing ideas, experiences, and resources to help one another succeed.

Thank you to everyone who attended and participated. Based on the tremendous response, we'll definitely be bringing back another marketing-focused program later this year!

This Pride Month, the Gold Coast Business Association celebrates the diversity, inclusion, and sense of belonging that help make our communities stronger.

Our local businesses, organizations, and residents come from many different backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives. Together, those differences help create the vibrant, welcoming communities we are proud to call home.

As we celebrate Pride, we recognize the importance of supporting one another, fostering respect, and building spaces where everyone feels valued and welcome.

Here's to a month of community, acceptance, and connection—and to the local businesses and neighbors who help make the Gold Coast a place where everyone can thrive.

Exciting things are happening at the Nassau Council of Chambers of Commerce!

At our recent General Meeting, NCCC Vice President Joseph Garcia shared an update on an exciting new initiative currently being developed in collaboration with members of the NCCC Board: Explore Nassau.

Designed to showcase the very best of Nassau County, Explore Nassau will be a dynamic new platform dedicated to promoting local businesses, community events, tourism, downtown districts, dining, shopping, and everything that makes our communities unique.

The project will feature both a dedicated website and mobile app, creating a centralized resource for residents, visitors, and businesses to discover what Nassau County has to offer. The platform will also incorporate innovative AI-powered tools and resources designed to enhance user experiences, connect people with local businesses, and help drive economic activity throughout the county.

As part of the development process, the team has secured the project's web identity under the name XploreNassau.com, laying the foundation for what we believe will become a valuable resource for chambers, businesses, community organizations, residents, and visitors alike.

Explore Nassau reflects the NCCC's ongoing commitment to supporting our member chambers, strengthening local economies, promoting tourism, and creating new opportunities for businesses across Nassau County.

Stay tuned — there's much more to come, and we look forward to sharing additional updates as this exciting initiative continues to develop.
