The Mission of the Young Marines is to positively impact America's future by providing quality youth development programs for boys and girls that nurtures and develops it's members into responsible citizens. The program focuses on character building and leadership and promotes a lifestyle that is conducive to being productive members of society. The Young Marines is the officially recognized youth

On Saturday 3/28/2026, The Long Island Young Marines had the incredible opportunity to spend the night on The USS Intrepid in NYC during Operation Slumber. We had a personal tour guide, slept on cots on the Hangar Deck, worked on our communication skills using radios, attempted a challenging Scavenger hunt that was put together by one of our own Young Marines. We got to see the world’s first space shuttle among many other military pieces on the WWII-era aircraft carrier. It was an event and evening full of teamwork & learning while making great memories with our unit.

🇺🇸Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day — December 7 🇺🇸

Young Marines stood in solemn remembrance on the island of Oahu as they laid wreaths in a ceremony at the “Punchbowl,” the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific.

With deep respect and gratitude, they honored the veterans and fallen heroes who gave everything on December 7, 1941. Their service and sacrifice will never be forgotten.
