On Saturday June 20th, the Long Island Young Marines held drill at a beautiful park in Nassau County, NY. We decided to enjoy the last drill outdoors before some of our Young Marines go away for the summer. We had the privilege of having Chief Warrant Officer 3 Jessi Quijijie & West Point Cadet Aaron Quijijie visit and speak with our unit. It was a true honor to meet both of them and we wish them good luck & safety in their future!
We held a PFT in the morning and after chow we held a team-building & unit strengthening water gun battle, followed by a fierce (and fun!) game of football & kickball. We also sadly said goodbye to our Training Officer, Mr. Rivera, who is moving out of state with his family. They will be greatly missed!

It certainly was a busy drill!

Flag Day is an annual observance celebrated on June 14th in the United States. It commemorates the adoption of the American flag on June 14, 1777. Today, the Long Island Young Marines, along with the Boy Scouts, participated in a Flag Day Ceremony and flag retirement event with American Legion Post 336.

Hello! The Long Island Young Marines are holding a fundraiser with Little Caesars pizza! Its an easy and delicious way to help support the best youth group on Long Island!! You can either choose to pickup at your local Little Caesars or to have pizza & breadsticks shipped via FedEx, and delivered right to your door! All money raised goes right back to the Young Marines and helps us to continue moving our unit forward with more training and unit events. We appreciate your continued support!
