NCSPCA Is amazing.. the volunteers are amazing.. Maria is awesome.. thank you for all you do for the animals!

Nassau County SPCA As we wrap up day seven of rescuing and caring for the Glen Cove cats, we want to thank the tireless efforts of our Disaster Response Team volunteers. These individuals meet and plan for large rescue responses throughout the year. They go over the details of every event to assess how they might be able to improve and organize their efforts in the future. They collect and inventory supplies and pack them in trailers - ready to go. Whether it’s a natural disaster, a building fire or a hoarding case, the Nassau County SPCA can count on our volunteers to give their time, their energy and their hearts. Thank you for all you do!

Nassau County SPCA A few days ago, Nassau County SPCA volunteers and our Humane Law Enforcement Officers entered a home in hazmat suits to rescue over 100 cats and 2 dogs from horrendous living conditions. The numbers continue to grow as animals that were in hiding are trapped from this hoarding situation. In collaboration with Cove Animal Rescue and the Glen Cove Mayor’s Office, we are housing these animals and getting them much needed medical attention. We appreciate the outpouring of support for the entire team - all with one mission - doing what’s best for these animals. We thank the Nassau DA for their support during this rescue effort. We would like to thank the veterinary team tenderlovingveterinaryclinic VCA Westbury Animal hospital and New Hyde Park Animal Hospital for their expert care. We would also like to thank our volunteers that did the footwork rescuing these animals and for their tireless efforts cleaning up after and caring for these animals. These are just some of the cats we are currently helping. Please visit the link in our bio to donate towards their medical care. https://gofund.me/3831c4fce

Speak up to stop this! Pass RYDERS LAW!!

🚨 AFTER THE HEARTBREAKING PUBLIC DEATH OF 16-YEAR-OLD CARRIAGE HORSE DENIZ LAST NIGHT, NYCLASS PACKED CITY HALL. 🚨

Today, New Yorkers, horse experts, advocates, and supportive City Council Members filled the steps of City Hall with one simple message: Speaker Julie Menin, the City Council, and Mayor Mamdani must fast-track and pass Ryder’s Law.

Tomorrow, Ryder’s Law will be reintroduced officially by Christopher Marte There is no more time for delays.

We will fight like hell to pass this legislation before another horse collapses and dies in our streets or another person is injured or killed in a runaway carriage crash.

📢 NYC residents: Contact your City Council Member and urge them to support Ryder’s Law.

📢 Everyone else: Visit the link in our bio to contact key decision-makers and demand action.

Stay tuned. More actions are coming. 🐴✊

🚨 New York is facing an animal welfare crisis. Every day, shelters and rescues are overwhelmed with unwanted litters while thousands of healthy, adoptable dogs wait for homes. Families who want to do the right thing often struggle to access affordable veterinary care, and the result is a system stretched far beyond its limits.

At the same time, backyard breeders continue to profit while rescues fight to save the animals left behind. Dogs are being bred faster than they can find homes, fueling overcrowded shelters and putting countless lives at risk.

Spaying and neutering is one of the most effective ways to reduce pet homelessness, prevent suffering, and stop the cycle at its source.

That’s why we are proud to partner with Dogs Trust 🐶💛 and URvet Care to offer FREE spay and neuter surgeries for dogs in our community on June 24th.

Appointments are required.

Apply today at: nycscr.org/spayneuter

The solution to pet overpopulation isn’t breeding more dogs. It’s supporting the dogs already here, giving families access to affordable resources, and working together to end the cycle that keeps our shelters full.

Please help us spread the word 🫶🐾

🚨 City Council, what more do you need? Central Park goers are crying and hugging after seeing this traumatizing death for all involved. A witness reported seeing the horse on the ground struggling with her tongue hanging out and thrashing around. Her belly was described as “huge,” and the carriage driver tried to press it.

Pass Ryder’s Law NOW and ban horse carriages before another horse dies! We’ll be outside City Hall tomorrow demanding an end to this!

URGENT!
All expenses paid! Please help and share asap. This is an emergency! Please help find a home for Jake!

We desperately need help finding a foster or adopter for Jake immediately anywhere on Long Island or tristate area.

We rescued him 3 years ago after he was shot at by kids with BB guns. At the time we adopted him to a couple without kids. Since then they’ve had a baby and toddler he is uncomfortable around so they need us to take him back this week. We don’t have shelter and have not had any luck finding him a foster or adopter without kids so we literally have nowhere for him to go!

Jake is an adorable 5 year old 32 lbs pitbull pekingese mix. He’s housetrained with a silly, fun affectionate personality. He does get along with dogs but can be selective so would need a meet and greet. a home with no other dogs or kids would be ideal.

If you have anyone we would cover all his food and any vet costs that come up during foster!!!
