First Tee - Oregon We’re Building Game Changers by empowering kids and teens through the game of golf! Offering programs throughout Oregon for ages 5-18.

First Tee - Oregon is a non-profit youth development organization dedicated to providing programs that build character and instill life-enhancing values in youth through the game of golf. A variety of programs are hosted year-round including classes, camps, tournaments, clinics, and more! All experience levels are welcome. Financial aid available, equipment provided.

Saturday was an exciting day at The Standard LPGA Portland Classic 🏌️‍♀️⛳️

Nearly 60 participants took part in the Les Schwab Par 3 Girls Tournament — a free event made possible by Les Schwab Tire Centers, and one of our favorite parts of tournament week.

Our younger division (ages 7-12) played in a team format built around fun over pressure — and ended the day in a tie! Our older division brought the competitive spirit, going head-to-head for the win.

Congratulations to all of our participants! A huge thanks to LPGA pros Andrea Lee and Lauren Coughlin Pond for joining the celebration, Victoria Gailey for serving as rules official for our older division, and Jason Gale — Les Schwab regional manager and one of our board members — for co-presenting awards.

🎒⛳ New backpacks, new supplies, new school year — our THRIVE participants had an absolute blast at this year’s back-to-school shopping spree!

This annual tradition is one of our kids’ favorite days, and this year was no exception. Huge thanks to Jack Kurrle for making this experience possible, and to both the Goodwill and Walmart teams for hosting us. 💚

⛳ Look who stopped by the Nike Family Fun Zone and First Tee booth at The Standard LPGA Portland Classic! 👀

We had some incredible guests join in the fun, including U.S. Senator Sen. Ron Wyden, LPGA legend Nancy Lopez (back for a second year in a row!), The Standard’s President and CEO Dan McMillan, and professional golfer .iwai, last year’s tournament champion. It was such a treat to share First Tee – Oregon with them and show off what our program is all about.

⛳️ The Cup didn’t come home, but the memories did.

Our team made a valiant effort going head-to-head with First Tee - Greater Seattle and First Tee - South Puget Sound in this year’s Gearhart Cup tournament — and while the win didn’t come this time, the golf, bonding, and fun sure did. 💚

500+ kids came through to play games, get their faces painted, color golf balls, and complete our activity passport — visiting 5 activity zones for a chance to win Nike head covers. 🎨⛳
