Kiwanis Club of Greater Kingston
We are excited to announce that the Kiwanis Club of Greater Kingston has been selected as the 2025 Pacific Northwest District Signature Project Winner – Group I for their Percussion Instrument Park!
This incredible project has created an inclusive musical playground that brings people of all ages and abilities together through the power of music. Located in Village Green Park in Kingston, Washington, the project provides accessible percussion instruments—such as chimes, bells, marimbas, and drums—that allow individuals, families, and community groups to enjoy and engage in creative expression.
The impact of this project is undeniable, with 1,500 people positively affected each year. It has become a community gathering space, encouraging spontaneous musical collaboration while fostering social connections and inclusivity. The park is used daily, with additional participation from Key Club members, the Boys & Girls Club, and local families who have embraced the space as a welcoming and engaging environment.
Congratulations to the Kiwanis Club of Greater Kingston for their outstanding contribution to their community! Their project will now advance to Kiwanis International, where it will compete against other inspiring projects from across the globe. We wish them the best of luck!
