The Adventurer Camporee took place on June 6-8 at Holden Conference Center. Here are some highlights:

Adventurer Camporee 2025

Day One:
The sun rose high, the campers came, with tents and bags and gear to claim. They staked their spots, they pitched their tents, with smiles wide and hearts content.
Dinner filled out hungry crew, then bouncy houses – fun times flew! Laughter echoed, feet would race, joy and giggles filled the place.
As stars appeared, we gathered near, for evening worship, hearts to hear. Pastor Evan told a tale – of Derek’s bike and one hard fail.
A borrowed ride, a broken nose, but grace and love were shared, a mother’s heart that deeply cared.
Then off to bed, beneath night’s dome, Adventure club feels just like home. Tomorrow brings new fun in store – Day one is done but there’s much more!

Day Two
The morning broke with flags held high, uniforms neat, spirits to the sky. Our parade marched proudly on the scene, Adventurer club, strong and keen.
We sang our songs, our voices raised, a sermonette left hearts amazed – a nine-year-old with courage bold, Gods love, and grace so sweetly told.
Pastor Evan spoke again, of stolen snowboards and a lesson taught him. Forgiveness shines when wrongs appear, God’s gentle voice is always near.
With giant smiles and cameras wide, our group photo burst with pride. “Cheese!” the kids all shouted loud, one great big, joyful, noisy crowd!
After lunch, the fun rolled on, outdoor games beneath the sun. Six stations waited – hands-on fun: ladybugs and butterflies – lessons begun.
We colored, crafted, learned and grew, nature’s wonders shining through and as the sun began to fall, one last story blessed us all.
A boat upon life’s winding stream, sometimes smooth and sometimes mean. When waters roar and fears arise, “Be still, “says God, who hears our cries.
(Psalm 46, verse 10, we know – our captain guides us where we should go.)
The night then closed with cheering loud, our club of the year – we made them proud!
Thanks to directors, parents and friends, who serve with love that never ends.
Day Three
Tomorrow holds one final day of games and fun before we stray.

Grants Pass Adventurers:

“Heidi! Let’s pray!” Grinning, I quickly agreed as the few remaining adults gathered around on the sidewalk outside of TJ Maxx, the only remaining traces of three hours of selling lemonade
“Dear God,” I began, “we are soooo grateful for everything you’ve done for us today! You blessed the Adventurer Lemonade Stand with enthusiastic kids, and their supportive adults. We were worried about smoke for today, but you kept it at bay. You provided lots of great customers and we had just enough lemonade until the very end. We’re so thankful that 13 kids wanted to be a part of the lemonade stand, allowing kids to participate for only an hour and not have to be out in the heat for all 3 hours. We are thankful that our new principal was able to join us to connect with the kids and the community. You provided us with plenty of donations so we could break even and even have some extra money for our club. We’re thankful for TJ Maxx allowing us to have this location that had built in shade! And we’re also thankful that it is over! Thank you for the strength to come through today. Oh! And thank you for Paul and Yulia’s hard work to make our lemonade stand so beautiful! In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
And with that, we retreated to find a place to cool off. It had been a brutal day with the high at 102o F, a great day to buy cold, fresh squeezed lemonade. We had steady traffic most of the time and were able to sell all the lemonade as well as almost all of the treats (the kids seemed happy to take home the remaining treats).
Miss the lemonade stand but would still like to contribute, please mark your tithe envelope, “Adventurers” to donate.
