Volunteers with OHV’s & 4x4’s: If you have an OHV or 4X4, we need your help running the trails at Four Peaks & Sugar Loaf to pick up trash. If you have a truck or trailer, we could use your help hauling loads of trash to the dumpsters. ⁠

Non OHV/4-Wheel Drive Volunteers: You do not need an OHV (off-highway vehicle) or 4x4 to participate, the road to the sign-in table is graded but wash boarded so drive slowly & carefully. There are plenty of areas within walking distance of the parking corral that need our help.⁠

Everyone is welcome, including youth volunteers! ⁠A parent, guardian, or adult group leader must accompany and supervise anyone under the age of 18 years old.⁣⁠

We would like to thank everyone at OdySea Aquarium for continuing their sponsorship of Natural Restorations, we are grateful for their support of our mission! OdySea Aquarium seeks to educate, engage, enrich, & inspire all ages to conserve & protect our planet, & we love teaming up with them to remove trash & invasives from local rivers & lakes. ⁠

This year, our partnership with OdySea Aquarium looks a little different, but it’s already having a positive impact! We're working with Arizona Plasma on a Legacy Tree Program where local students from Circle Cross Ranch K-6 grow trees for our replanting program, specifically Ironwoods for the Bush Fire burn scar on the Tonto National Forest at Four Peaks. Part of Legacy Tree Program’s curriculum is following the lifecycle of a drop of water; students learn about where the water they use for the trees they are growing for us comes from. ⁠

As part of our sponsorship, OdySea provided free admission for a group of 47 students & chaperones from the Legacy Tree Program so that they could enjoy a morning field trip to the Aquarium and learn more about the lifecycle of a drop of water. ⁠

Thank you to everyone who came out in support of our mission this past Sunday at Saguaro Lake Guest Ranch, Mesa AZ for a Cowboy Cookout & Fundraiser in support of Natural Restorations. It was an amazing evening full of live music, good company, great food, & beautiful views! ⁠

The evening was captured by Dana Gibbons Photography. We're grateful to Dana for donating her time and services for this special evening. Dana also brought Ian Clarkin to capture video of the evening. ⁠

In addition to taking photos of the guest ranch, the cookout & the raffle, Dana Gibbons Photography captured portraits for couples, families, & friends, and instantly shared them with guests as a thank you for coming out to support our mission. ⁠

Thank you to Connor Greenwald from KJZZ Phoenix for coming out to our National Public Lands Day Lower Salt River Cleanup with U.S. Forest Service-Tonto National Forest, National Environmental Education Foundation - NEEF, & American Medical Association on Saturday. 298 volunteers, including 39 youth volunteers, helped us remove 1,180 pounds of trash from the Lower Salt River!

Volunteers gathered at the Phon D. Sutton recreation area on Saturday along the Salt River in the Tonto National Forest for a clean up event celebrating National Public Lands Day.

Thank you to everyone who joined us Saturday for our 11th annual National Public Lands Day Lower Salt River Land & Water Cleanup with U.S. Forest Service-Tonto National Forest, National Environmental Education Foundation - NEEF (NEEF), & American Medical Association (AMA)! ⁠

Volunteers with kayaks & paddleboards floated the river, picking up trash volunteers on foot could not reach. ⁠Thank you, River Rangers, Salty Scuba Squad, & SWATT! Thank you to Salt River Tubing for providing a free shuttle to Pebble Beach for volunteers with SUPs & kayaks! ⁠
