Sometimes all it takes is a chance, and a community that believes in you.

When Mary Katherine Smith opened Pink Lola in Gibsonville, she never expected it to become what it is today. What began as a practical solution quickly grew into a thriving business rooted in our downtown.

Watch this sneak peek and stay tuned for the full story next week.

Meet your Downtown Advisory Board!

This dedicated group of volunteers has been appointed by the Board of Aldermen to help support and strengthen Downtown Gibsonville while preserving the character, history, and charm that make it such a special place.

Working through committees focused on promotion, design, organization, and economic vitality, the board will provide recommendations and ideas that help celebrate our downtown, support local businesses, encourage community engagement, and honor Gibsonville's historic identity.

We are grateful for the time, talent, and passion these individuals bring as they work to ensure our downtown remains a vibrant and welcoming place for residents, businesses, and visitors for years to come.

Not pictured are ex officio members Mayor Bryant Crisp and Library Director Jessica Arnold.

Over the coming weeks, we'll be introducing each board member and sharing what excites them most about the future of Downtown Gibsonville. Stay tuned!

Hometown shoutout! Gibsonville edition.

I was happy to pass through just the other day and wanted to say how nice Gibsonville is these days. Beautiful Main Street area with coffee shops ☕️, creameries 🍦and cabooses 🚂.

I’m sure we have some Gibsonville folks here on the page. Let me know if you’re a Gibsonville local!

Beginning Wednesday, June 10th, the Gibsonville Caboose will be closed. The old ramps/steps will be removed and new ones will be constructed. While the intent is to have everything completed and reopened by this weekend, delays are possible and will be posted if they do arise.

The closure will not impact the Link Transit stop directly beside the caboose.

***Update - The caboose will continue to be closed through the weekend as work is still in progress.***

We love this photo of Downtown Gibsonville! Thank you to Cesar Molina for sharing it with us!

Last night at our Board of Aldermen meeting, local photographer Cesar Molina shared a moment with our community as he gifted the Town a framed archival print of his photograph “Yesterday”—a striking image capturing our historic downtown, beautifully preserving a piece of Gibsonville’s story.

We’re honored that this work will have a permanent home at Town Hall. Thank you, Cesar, for sharing your talent and vision with us, and for this meaningful gift to the Town of Gibsonville. And thank you to Mayor Bryant Crisp for being part of the moment and supporting the arts in our community.
