Congratulations, Officer Conrad!!

Officer of the Year – Thomas Conrad

The Germantown Police Department recognized Senior Patrolman and Canine Officer Thomas Conrad as Officer of the Year at Thursday's awards presentation. Officer Conrad has served the department for nearly four years alongside his canine partner, K9 Zeus, and holds certifications as a DUI Technician, Field Training Officer, Child Passenger Safety Seat Technician, and Instructor. He is currently completing his Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice at Bethel University, with expected graduation in Spring 2026. Congratulations, Officer Conrad, on this honor.

Dispatcher of the Year – Sheila Hutchins

The Germantown Police Department recognized Sheila Hutchins, Public Safety Dispatcher/Jailer, as Dispatcher of the Year at Thursday's awards presentation. Sheila brings more than 25 years of customer service experience to the role, is known for her professionalism and reliability, and serves as an informal pharmaceutical resource supporting both dispatch and jail operations. Her consistent dedication to the division was further reflected in her perfect attendance throughout all of 2025 — the only dispatcher to achieve that distinction. Congratulations, Sheila, on this well-deserved recognition.

Congratulations to Officers Hartmann, Kwoka, and Rocha on completing Crisis Intervention Team training through the Shelby County Sheriff's Office this week. CIT training equips officers with specialized skills to effectively respond to individuals experiencing a mental health crisis.
