On yesterday, October 1, the Brothers of Sigma Lambda Lambda (SLL) and Xi Zeta Chapters of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. joined together to facilitate a voter registration drive for newly eligible 18-year-old seniors at Trezevant High School in Memphis, Tennessee.
With the support of the school’s guidance counselors, administrators, and staff, the Brothers successfully helped 28 students register to vote.
The event was about more than registration. Over pizza and refreshments, the Brothers connected with students to discuss the upcoming election, early voting dates, the importance of civic participation, and their future career goals.
This initiative is one of many community engagement efforts spearheaded by the Voter Registration, Education & Mobilization (VREM) Committee of Sigma Lambda Lambda Chapter. Through continued collaboration with fellow chapters of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., we remain committed to educating, engaging, and empowering young adults to become informed and active participants in their communities.
