There’s something pretty special about getting to welcome a new team to the community before they even open their doors.

A huge thank you to SCHEELS for inviting The Locker to be part of one of their team training events! With service learning being such a big part of what we do, we loved getting the chance to jump in, have some fun with their team, and be part of the excitement leading up to opening day.

And of course, we did a little exploring while we were there — there is SO much to see! We’re already talking about a team building trip back once the doors officially open. ☺️

cedarparkscheels officially opens this Saturday! Make sure you stop by, check it out, and help us give them a big welcome to our community.

Congratulations to the entire SCHEELS Cedar Park team! Thank you for letting The Locker be a small part of your journey to opening day. We’re excited to have you here and can’t wait to see all that you bring to our community!

ROCK THE LOCKER — THANK YOU!

Our first-ever Rock The Locker: Back to School Bash was more than we could have hoped for, and we are incredibly grateful to everyone who showed up, donated, volunteered, sponsored, performed, and helped make this night possible.

More than 200 members of our community came out to support The Locker — and together, you made an incredible impact:

🎒 686+ essential items donated to support local students
🎒 118 backpacks, including 22 already filled with school supplies
💰 $5,480 raised in event revenue
❤️ And thousands of dollars more in donated services, raffle items, venue support, photography, content creation and other in-kind contributions

Most importantly, those numbers represent real resources that will help us continue stocking our on-campus Lockers and meeting the needs of students throughout our community.

A HUGE thank you to our sponsors and community partners, including , Perry Homes, Allied Electric Services, Pathways Youth & Family Services, Lone Star Circle of Care and Simple Sparrow.

Thank you to the incredible businesses and individuals who helped bring the event to life and supported our raffle and event needs: Camp Briteside, G Fire Productions, Your Vow Story, Ron Parks Photography, BB Party Rentals, Bam Party Rentals, Kalahari Resorts, Film Alley, Georgetown Palace Theatre, Round Rock Express and Lucky Strike.

And to our volunteers — including the amazing basketball and Forbes cheer volunteers — our setup crew, performers, board members, staff and everyone who jumped in wherever they were needed: THANK YOU. An event like this simply doesn't happen without people willing to give their time and talents.

For a first-year event, we are incredibly proud of what our community accomplished together. But the best part?

We're just getting started. 🎸🩵

And don't worry — we're not going anywhere! 🎅 The holidays will be here before we know it, and The Locker Santa Crawl is right around the corner. Stay tuned because we'll be sharing all the details soon!

🎒💙 BACK TO SCHOOL HAS BEEN BUSY AT THE LOCKER! 💙🎒

Whew! The back-to-school season is in full swing, and The Locker team has been BUSY making sure students across our community have what they need to start the year with confidence! 🙌

Here’s just a glimpse of what we’ve been up to:

🎒 Handed out filled backpacks at the Juvenile Justice Center Family Night
🎉 Had a blast celebrating with Georgetown ISD and Jarrell ISD at Convocation
🎒 Packed 300+ backpacks
🎤 Spoke at the ACE Conference for Texas
👩‍🏫 Connected with all GISD nurses and counselors
🔧 Revamped 5 Lockers and established a brand-new Locker
📦 Stocked ALL of our Lockers
👕 Took 200+ students shopping for clothes

And we’re just getting started! ❤️

None of this happens without our incredible volunteers, school partners, donors, community supporters, and everyone who believes that every student deserves to feel prepared, included, and confident at school.

From backpacks to new clothes, from stocked Lockers to new partnerships—YOU are helping us make sure kids can focus on being kids and students, not on what they may be missing.
