Hello, everyone! This is the FGPL Vice President Diego, here to let you know that the Library's yard sale is just around the corner, and we need your help!

From now until the end of July, we'll be accepting any item that you no longer need or want for us to sell in the yard sale. This includes old blankets or old electrical appliances.

Stop by the library on 123 West Pine St. In Georgetown, and we'll make sure your old stuff gets a new start!

DelaWarm - Knit or Crochet for those in Need
Saturday, June 27 from 11:00 am- 1:00 pm

DelaWarm has created library events for community members to gather and hand craft crocheted or knit items for our neighbors in need. We serve the unhoused, domestic violence shelters, and schools throughout the State of Delaware. Warm items like scarves, hats, ear warmers and teddy bears for children would be ideal projects for this cause.

How does the Friends of the Georgetown Library raise funds to support the Georgetown, Delaware Public Library programing and unexpected expenses? Why do we fundraiser? How do we raise funds? Who can volunteer?

Come to our Annual Open Meeting Wednesday, May 20 at 4:30 pm in the meeting room upstairs via lobby stairs or elevator.

Light refreshment will be available.

Applications for library cards, Friends membership, and more will be available. We do so much more than have booksales.

Won't you be a friend ?

The Friends of the Georgetown Public Library are starting its membership drive early. We are looking for people to join our committee, which is dedicated for raising funds to assist the library in meeting its operating costs.

Volunteer opportunities include setting up, working, and clean up for our book sales and other events. We also man our table at community events such as Wings and Wheels or our 5K run.

Membership costs as little as $10 for an individual and is tax deductible for 2025 if you join by 12/31/25.
