ROCK Ride On Center for Kids

ROCK Ride On Center for Kids Providing Equine-Assisted Services to Central Texas since 1998! Educational Programs are offered in partnership with local youth agencies and school districts.

ROCK, Ride On Center for Kids is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides equine-assisted services to children, adults, and veterans with physical, cognitive, & emotional challenges. ROCK programs are currently divided into the following equine-assisted activities: Therapeutic Riding/Sports Riding assists clients to ride to the best of their ability. The Lynn C Christianson Therapy Clinic

offers physical and speech therapy. These activities and therapies utilize the partnership with the horse and related equine activities to achieve a variety of goals including improvement in cognitive, physical, emotional, social, educational and behavioral functioning. ROCK also serves veterans through the ROCK On Veterans program.

Happy Friday everyone! 😃

We hope your Friday is going as good as ours. Our partners over at HTeaO on Williams Drive donated half a pallet of water to ROCK this morning and we couldn't be more thrilled. 💧👏

This donation is so important to us as it keeps our participants, families, ROCKateers, and staff members hydrated in this heat! ❤️

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who joined us at Tejas Meat Supply for our Back to ROCK celebration! From delicious food and fun trivia to great prizes and ROCK-inspired drinks, we had such a wonderful time celebrating with our amazing community.

We’re especially grateful to Tejas Meat Supply for welcoming ROCK and helping make the evening so much fun. And thank you to everyone who enjoyed a featured drink and helped support ROCK with your purchase!

We are incredibly grateful to continue serving veterans and their families at ROCK Ride On Center for Kids. Yesterday, alongside of several other Williamson County nonprofits we attended the BIG check ceremony at The Dog Alliance in Cedar Park. Thank you to every person who has ever purchased a scratch off Texas Lottery ticket, these funds are how the Texas Veterans Commission make these grants possible.

Thank you as well for the trust that each of you gives to ROCK to serve veterans. It continues to be a privilege to serve each of these amazing veterans families, improving their independence and life skills in partnership with the horse.

ROCK was represented by Karah Powell and Heidi Matzdorf Derning. Heidi was part of the team who began this program in 2005.
