We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to transforming lives and strengthening the community, since 1999. Our all member-volunteer thrift shop in Georgetown, Texas is the primary source of funding for our philanthropic programs. ASSIST A TEACHER, provides more than 100 elementary teachers with the purchasing power for classroom materials and learning opportunities that enhance teachin
g and learning for their classroom. OPERATION SCHOOL BELL (R), to improve attendance and student engagement, this Nationally recognized program, makes back-to-school clothing and shoes possible for over 25,000 area students, identified as economically disadvantaged. Outreach extends from Head Start through Middle School at partnering districts. READING AND MORE, provides member-volunteers to work with classroom teachers to mentor reading improvement in Jarrell, Florence, and Igo elementary schools. In addition, we provide summer reading materials and Guided Reading and Literacy instructional materials for library and teacher use. SCHOLARSHIPS are awarded each academic year to qualified graduating seniors interested in entering into collegiate educational programs and advancing their education in career-technology through other 2- or 4-year programs.
