Northern Illinois Food Bank Northern Illinois Food Bank's mission is to provide nutritious food and resources for our neighbors.

Our vision at Northern Illinois Food Bank is for everyone in Northern Illinois to have the food they need to thrive. A 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and proud member of Feeding America, we serve our neighbors in 13 counties with dignity, equity and convenience, providing 250,000 meals a day. We bring together manufacturers, local and corporate grocers, area farmers, corporations, foundations, a

nd individuals who donate food and funding, and each week nearly 1,500 volunteers help us evaluate, repack, and distribute food. We also proudly partner with more than 900 food pantries, soup kitchens, shelters, and youth and senior feeding programs to provide nutritious food and resources. A food bank is a nonprofit organization that gathers, stores, and distributes food to local food pantries, soup kitchens, shelters, and youth and senior programs.
At Northern Illinois Food Bank, we serve as the hub—working with farmers, retailers, manufacturers, and generous donors to ensure nutritious food reaches neighbors in need across Northern Illinois.
Thanks to incredible partners and volunteers, we provide food for more than 250,000 MEALS EVERY DAY, helping children, families, and seniors focus on living—not worrying about their next meal.

Prefer to drop in? You can still visit on Tuesdays from 1 PM to 6 PM or Thursdays from 9 AM to 2 PM.

Our Neighborhood Market is a unique indoor shopping experience located at 1397 Sandy Hollow Rd, Rockford, IL. You can shop once a week during any of our open days.

As you may have already heard, due to the extensive rainfall our area has received, the 28th Annual Hunger Scramble Golf Outing and Smash Hunger Classic Pickleball Tournament presented by Old Second National Bank was postponed to Monday, October 19 at White Eagle Golf Club.

The good news? There’s still time to get involved! Registration has reopened for a limited number of golfers and pickleball players, and there are still opportunities to support the event through sponsorships, donations, and participation.

Join us this October for a great day on the course and courts while helping provide food and hope for our neighbors across Northern Illinois.
