As a Realtor and proud President of the Women's Council of Realtors Fox Valley IL, I believe it’s important for our community to stay informed about legislation currently being discussed in Illinois that could impact housing, property rights, affordability, and the future of real estate.
Many of these conversations are happening right now during legislative session, and often by the time the public hears about them, decisions may already be moving forward. Whether you are a homeowner, renter, investor, or future buyer, these topics can affect everyone in one way or another.
This is why the Illinois Realtors has an advocacy group that works hard to stay involved, informed, and engaged in conversations surrounding housing and real estate laws. Their role is to help monitor proposed legislation, provide industry insight, and encourage balanced discussions that consider both consumers and housing providers.
Real estate is closely tied to supply and demand, and housing availability impacts communities across the board. Open dialogue and community involvement matter.
I encourage everyone to take time to research these proposed bills, stay informed, and reach out to your legislators to respectfully share your thoughts and opinions. No matter where you stand, your voice deserves to be heard.
Who you work with matters as well as who you surround yourself with, and I’m proud to be part of organizations that stay engaged in protecting and supporting the future of housing and real estate in our communities.
