Emilie DeCasteker, member of the Geneseo High School Trap Shooting team hit 25 shots in a row, twice. First on April 8th and again on May 19th.

Last week FFA members put together 80 bouquets to hand out to community members. Each community member received two bouquets—one to keep and one to pass along to someone else—encouraging a simple act of kindness to continue spreading.

This project was funded through the Bend Don’t Break Grant initiative!

Recently, our members attended our Points Chart Trip at Living Lands & Waters! During the trip, we learned about different careers connected to the Mississippi River and participated in hands-on activities that expanded our knowledge of natural resources and conservation. We also had the opportunity to hear from a guest speaker, one of the Illinois DNR fisheries biologists, who shared insights about fisheries management and careers in the field.

Tomorrow (5/14) starting at 7:30am find FFA members at Local Motive passing out beautiful bouquets to community members! Each guest will take 2- keeping one and passing the other along to spread positivity and kindness!

We were able to fund this project through the Bend Don’t Break Grant from SIU Medicine Center for Rural Health & Social Service Development!

12 members attended the Section 3 FFA Banquet this evening to celebrate our chapter’s accomplishments within the section this year. We were proud to celebrate alongside fellow FFA members from across the section.

We also watched our very own Dawsyn McDonald officially retire from the Section 3 officer team. Additionally, we celebrated Faith Kuster for being awarded the Section 3 Star Greenhand Award!
