Did someone say a fun event for FISH (Friends in Service Helping) in beautiful Genoa, Douglas County? 🎣⛳ You bet they did!

The familiar, smiling faces from your favorite Carson City and Carson Valley FISH teams were out at sunrise, ready to help make our 1st Annual Tee Up Hope Golf Tournament at the spectacular Genoa Golf Course a success!

I'd say we were all hooked from the very first swing! 😉 The turnout was incredible, the weather couldn't have been better, and everyone seemed to have a fin-tastic time on the course. Stay tuned for more photos 📸 we had an absolute blast, and from everything we heard, our golfers did too!

Carson Valley, thank you so much for your patience as we work through all the exciting changes at our beloved Douglas County Food Bank & Family Services location! 🥰

Starting next week, July 16th and 17th, we will be open for business every Thursday and Friday!

This is just the beginning of some exciting improvements and new things planned for this location, so please continue to be patient and keep an eye out for future announcements and additions.

A huge shout-out and heartfelt thank you to our amazing staff at Carson City's FISH (Friends in Service Helping) and our incredible volunteers, who jumped right in to help ensure everything continued to run smoothly throughout these changes. We couldn't have done it without you! 💙💙💙

We are gladly accepting books at our Carson Valley location too! We are currently open on Thursdays to accept donations. 😊 Otherwise, our Carson location is happily accepting books 5 days a week! 🩵

We’d like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Mrs. Karen Vipperman for her generous donation toward Mitch’s much-needed paint facelift.

Thanks to her kindness, this project is well underway and already making a big difference in brightening up the space. The buildings are looking refreshed, and the care put into this effort truly shows.

We are so grateful to everyone involved for thinking of us and helping bring new life to our space. Acts like this remind us how strong and supportive our community truly is.
