Looking at this photo, you might think Summer is laughing.
And honestly, with his personality, that's entirely possible.
But what was actually happening is pretty interesting.
Summer recently hurt himself and was receiving some bodywork and massage to help him heal.
As the tension released, so did his body.
This funny face was part of his nervous system letting go.
Horses often yawn, lick, chew, stretch, shake, and make all sorts of funny expressions when they're releasing tension and settling back into regulation.
Watching him reminded me that healing isn't always serious.
Sometimes healing looks like a deep breath.
A sigh.
A stretch.
A good laugh.
God designed our bodies with ways to release what we've been carrying.
The question is, do we listen?
✨ Peace Tip:
Notice what helps your body feel better. A walk, a deep breath, prayer, laughter, stretching, time with a friend, or time with a horse. Your body was designed for restoration, not just endurance.
