No one should have to choose between keeping the lights on and putting food on the table. 🧡

Right now at The Hope Market, we are serving over 1,300 local families every month—that’s more than 5,000 individuals walking through our doors who rely on us for their daily meals.

What makes The Hope Market different? Our doors are open to everyone. We believe that hunger doesn’t ask for qualifications, and neither do we. We don't turn anyone away when they are in need. But as the need in our community continues to climb, keeping our shelves stocked with everyday staples—canned proteins, pasta, peanut butter, cereal, and canned goods—has become a massive daily challenge.

We truly need your help to keep up with the demand.

Here are two powerful ways you can make an immediate impact this week:

1️⃣ Donate Directly to Our Facebook Fundraiser:

Click the donate button attached to this post. Every single dollar goes directly toward purchasing high-demand food staples in bulk. Whether it’s $5, $25, or $100, every little bit truly makes a HUGE difference in keeping our shelves full.

2️⃣ Host a "Porch to Pantry" Drive in Your Neighborhood! 🥫📦

Want to rally your street or subdivision? You don’t have to do it alone—we’ve created a "Porch to Pantry Starter Kit" to make it completely effortless! We’ll hand you everything you need: a pre-written neighborhood flyer/post template, a list of our most urgently needed items, collection box signage, and easy drop-off instructions. Simply set a bin on your front porch, invite your neighbors to drop off a can or two, and bring it by!

Our community is our strength, and we cannot do this work without you standing beside us.

We are open:

Tuesday's from 5pm - 7pm
Thursday's from 8am-11am
Saturday's from 9am - 12pm
We understand that life can be tough, and sometimes we all need a little help. Our doors are open to anyone in eastern Kansas who needs assistance.

Our hearts are overflowing with gratitude today!

We are thrilled to share that the team from Interstate Assembly Systems visited us today to deliver a wonderful donation to help support our mission.

Year after year, their compassion and commitment shine bright—this is their FIFTH consecutive year supporting The Hope Market, and their loyalty touches us deeply. Every box of food, every gallon of milk, and every smile shared at the market is possible because partners like them choose to show up for their community.

Thank you, Interstate Assembly Systems and Second Step Foundation, for walking this journey with us and for believing in the families we serve. We are honored to call you our partners! 💛

📚 Big news for our pantry community! 📚

We are so excited and proud to show off the newest addition to The Hope Market! A huge congratulations and heartfelt thank you to Scout Thomas Pacey for completing his Eagle Scout project right here with us.

Thomas designed, built, and installed a beautiful Little Library for our pantry, creating a space that nourishes minds as well as bodies.

The little library is officially open for all of our individuals and families:

📖 Take a book: Find a story, novel, or kid's favorite to take home and enjoy.

🤝 Leave a book: Have gently loved books looking for a new home? Drop them off for your neighbors to discover!

Thomas, thank you for your hard work, dedication, and heart for our community. You’ve created something lasting that will bless local families for years to come.

Come check it out next time you visit the market! 💙

URGENT CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS: Help us meet a 215% increase in community need.

Since this time last year, the number of families turning to The Hope Market has more than tripled. While the need is greater than ever, our commitment hasn't wavered—but we cannot do it without our incredible volunteer team.

We are actively seeking volunteers for:

Weekday Stocking: Flexible hours during the week to sort donations, stock shelves, and prep food inventory.

Pantry Operations & Family Service: Assisting our guests directly during open distribution hours and ensuring every family is treated with care and dignity.

It takes a community to nourish a community. If you, your family, or your civic/work group have time to give, we would love to have you.
