🐾❤️ It takes a village, and we’re so thankful for ours! ❤️🐾

Our rescue is lucky to have longtime friendships with some truly amazing people in the animal rescue community.

Recently, two feral kittens found themselves in just the right yard. Long time friends who have helped us many times over the years made sure they were trapped, vetted and neutered. When they asked if we could help find the kittens a home, we didn’t hesitate to say yes.

While the kittens were in our care, another wonderful rescue friend was looking for a buddy for Sammy, a senior cat. Sammy’s buddy Mr T (aka handsome Johny)also adopted from us. Had passed away. As it turns out, Sammy got two new friends! 🐱🐱

Both kittens are now loving life with our friends at The Home for the Weary, and they’re showing no more signs of being feral. They’ve found a place where they can feel safe and loved. 💕

The Home for the Weary has opened its doors to more senior animals and medical cases than we can count. As always, thank you for opening your home and your hearts once again. We’re so grateful for you and for everyone who helped give these kittens their happy ending! 🐾

🐾 Getting to know Sophia & Chloe ❤️ Enjoying a farm walk.

After the neglect these girls have experienced, it’s wonderful watching them come out of their shells and enjoy running, playing, and being dogs!

Both are extremely sweet, love any kind of human attention, and seem eager to connect with people all the time. It seems they’ve had very little training and may not have lived in a home recently. They’re enthusiastic jumpers who haven’t quite learned that love can happen with all four paws on the floor! 😂 We’re working on housebreaking, leash manners, and the basics
💕 Sophia — Approximately 3 years old and 30 pounds. Aussiedoodle? Maybe! She gets along with dogs and cats. And will hug everyone she meets.

💕 Chloe — Approximately 5 years old and 35 pounds. Labradoodle? Bernedoodle? Your guess is as good as ours! She gets along with most dogs.

Sophia and Chloe are not bonded and do well apart from each other, so they can be adopted separately.
Both will be spayed soon and ready to find homes. They’ll need families willing to offer patience, consistent training, and plenty of love as they learn how to be part of a household. We see so much potential in these girls!

Meet Bella, one of our newest little hot messes—and we mean that with love! 🥰🐾

This sweet girl arrived with fleas, quite a bit of hair missing from her back end, and red, flaky skin. Fleas and possibly yeast may be part of the problem, but we’ll be getting her to our vet to find out exactly what she needs.

A Maltese mix? A Chinese Crested mix? Your guess is as good as ours! We’re hoping that as her skin heals, her hair will grow back and give us a few more clues. ❤️

For now, Bella is enjoying her spa days, and just 24 hours after her bath, she already looks better!

We have a feeling there’s a beautiful little fluffball waiting to emerge—but honestly, we think she’s beautiful already. 🥹

🐾 Introducing… Scruffy! Well, that’s his name for now! 😂

This little terrier mix is SO happy to be out of a loud, overcrowded shelter and getting a fresh start. ❤️

We keep calling him “Scruffy Puppy,” but we think this handsome boy deserves a proper name. Any suggestions? Drop them below! 👇

So far, this little ball of energy has been playing well with other dogs and showing us his sweet disposition. We’re still getting to know him, but he’s already making us smile! 🐶

We are so thankful for our fosterhomes. A few months back, Tux and Maddie ended up at a veterinarian’s office to be humanely euthanized. Luckily for them, the vet and staff fell completely in love with both and reached out to us for help. Maddie has since found a home.
Tux is older and of course we can’t ignore the giant lump on Tux’s head. He’s been checked out multiple times by different veterinarians, and while it certainly stands out, it doesn’t seem to bother this friendly little guy at all. He loves everybody and everything, and he’ll happily flop right over for belly rubs. That big lump on his head has been thoroughly checked out and doesn’t bother him one bit—he’s as cheerful and affectionate as can be.
