For everyones awareness

Since the refuge was created in 1939, hunting and fishing have been recreational activities available to the public. From December 13th through December 15th, the Wildlife Drive will become a two-way road rather than a one-way road due to the annual 3-day deer hunt in zone 56 that encompasses the back part of the Drive. The temporary turn-around is marked by the red star on the below map, near blue goose marker 13, and the hunt zone is shaded in pink. Please follow the signage and use additional caution while the road is two-way.

Acre's Woodland, Jenn’s and Bristow trails will be closed to hiking during these dates. The Eco Leads trail and Visitor Information Center will be open these days. For more information on hunting at Forsythe Refuge, please visit https://www.fws.gov/.../edwin.../visit-us/activities/hunting. If you have any questions or concerns, please call us at (609) 652-1665 or email us at [email protected].
