After weeks of preparing, packing, and coming together, there’s nothing better than seeing students head into the school year with big smiles, new supplies, and a little extra confidence.

Last week, volunteers packed 1,000 backpacks to help students get a running start on the new school year! 🎒💙 Families also enjoyed refreshments, and kids picked out books to take home and enjoy.

Después de semanas de preparación, de llenar mochilas y de unir esfuerzos, no hay nada mejor que ver a los estudiantes comenzar el año escolar con grandes sonrisas, útiles nuevos y un poco más de confianza.

La semana pasada, nuestros voluntarios prepararon 1,000 mochilas para ayudar a los estudiantes a comenzar el nuevo año escolar con el pie derecho. 🎒💙 Las familias también disfrutaron de algunos refrigerios y los niños pudieron escoger libros para llevar a casa.

Our final day of the 2026 Backpack Drive is a wrap! Along with a team of incredible volunteers, we have packed a record 1,000 backpacks to be distributed to kids and young adults in need here in Montgomery County in time for the new school year.

¡Concluimos el último día de nuestra Colecta de Mochilas 2026! Junto con un increíble equipo de voluntarios, logramos preparar 1,000 mochilas, que serán entregadas a niños, jóvenes y adultos jóvenes que las necesitan aquí en el condado de Montgomery, justo a tiempo para el inicio del nuevo ciclo escolar.

A backpack is more than school supplies..it’s a strong start to the school year! 🎒

This year for our 6th annual back pack drive, we’re working to fill 900–1,000 backpacks with school supplies and notes of encouragement for young people in Identity’s programs. For many students, a backpack is more than a collection of supplies, it’s a reminder that their community is invested in their success.
