They may have ended the weekend wet and cold, but also with stronger connections, new memories, and plenty of laughs along the way.

Last weekend, young people from the Youth Opportunity Center and Bridge to Wellness programs came together for a 3-day retreat focused on connection, healing, and growth. Away from the pressures of school and life, youth tried new things, supported one another and experienced the healing power of nature firsthand. 🛶🌿

All dressed up for a day at the theatre! Elementary school students with Identity programs spent a spring break day at the National Theatre watching Beauty and the Beast. Identity staff requested the students to dress nicely for the special event and they certainly dressed to impress! For many, it was their first live musical and even their first trip to Washington, D.C.

Experiences like these help kids dream bigger and make space for joy and imagination.✨

More photos from an exciting week of STEM! During Identity’s Alternative Spring Break, a group of middle schoolers spent three days at Montgomery College immersed in hands-on STEM experiences – having fun while developing problem solving and critical thinking skills and seeing themselves in future STEM careers. Enriching activities like these show youth what’s possible when they are given the space to try, struggle, and succeed.

Drop a 💡 to celebrate their hard work and perseverance!
