Y-Not Theatre February 2017, Y-Not Theatre connects North Central Florida to today’s American playwrights and to each other.

We do this by promoting, developing, presenting and producing new American plays. Y-Not Theatre is the home of the Gainesville Playreaders. A monthly community gathering for anyone interested in reading new published produced American plays. We hold events in different theatre spaces one a month.

Y-Not Theatre was built with the support of Gainesville and the surrounding area as well as the artists of the Eugene O'Neill Theater Center, the National Theatre Institute,and MICHA-The Michael Chekhov Association. We promote, produce, develop and present new America plays. Our view of theatre begins with the lens of the playwright and the playreader.
