Funny. Curious. Mischievous. A total character.

That was our Skotty.

He loved to run. He loved to play.

And those little legs that once couldn't cling became so strong that he sometimes tumbled into spectacular somersaults.

He was full of love. And we so loved him. We will miss you with all our hearts.

This is the boy we want you to remember.

💔 Heartbreaking news from Jungle Friends

Over the past month, our Jungle Friends family has suffered two devastating losses. We said goodbye to our beloved spider monkey Udi, and then, far too soon, our sweet capuchin Baby Skotty.

Both boys were lost suddenly, and despite extensive testing, we still don't know exactly what triggered their illnesses.

But their deaths are not their stories.

Udi and Skotty lived. They played. They loved. They formed deep bonds with their monkey families and the people who cared for them.

We want to share their stories with you, including how these two very special boys got their second chances.

Happy Birthday to inseparable twins Burt & Ernie!

These two have a bond that touches everyone who meets them. Burt, not Bert, is the brave, caring brother who always looks out for his shy twin, Ernie. They hate being apart, and when they are, their calls to each other are a sweet reminder of just how strong their connection is.

Together with 24 other squirrel monkeys, Burt & Ernie made history when they were released from ni****ne addiction studies at the FDA.

Tully has been having a magnificent summer. As usual, he is running his own show, marching through his runway like the CEO of Munchkinland and making his opinions known, loudly and often. He’s been enjoying lots of outdoor time and plenty of opportunities to forage for all the delicious summer bugs that are out and about. And when he needs a break, he heads inside for a little AC.

Pixel may be a little shy at first, but don't let that fool you, this squirrel monkey has opinions! He knows what he likes, what he doesn't, and he's not afraid to let you know.

Pixel arrived at Jungle Friends in 2018 with 25 other squirrel monkeys after being retired from FDA ni****ne studies. For the first time, he got to experience something every monkey deserves, life on his own terms.

Today, Pixel is curious, playful, independent, and especially particular.

It may take him a little time to trust you, but once he does, you'll discover the lively little personality underneath that cautious exterior.
