9/11 NEVER FORGET 🇺🇸

It is with heavy hearts that the Fullerton Police Canine Association shares the passing of retired Fullerton Police Department, K9 Titan.

In March 2024, when Titan was diagnosed with cancer, our community rallied around him and generously donated toward his treatment. That support helped prolong Titan’s life and gave him an additional two and a half years to enjoy retirement with the family he loved.

To everyone who donated, shared his story, sent well wishes, or kept Titan in your thoughts — thank you. Your generosity gave Titan and his family the priceless gift of more time together and allowed him to spend those extra years living his best retired K9 life.

Titan faithfully served the Fullerton community, and when he needed that same community, you were there for him.

Thank you for your service, Titan. You were a very good boy. 🌈 🐾💙

Rest easy, Titan. We’ll take it from here

Today, we’re celebrating the hardworking four-legged members of the Fullerton Police Department!

Our police K-9s (Echo, Alpha, Goose and Kilo) assist officers with tasks such as locating suspects, searching for evidence, detecting narcotics, and helping keep our community and officers safe.

And then there’s K9 Nubbin, whose job looks a little different. 💙 As FPD’s facility dog, Nubbin helps provide comfort, support, and plenty of tail wags to our employees and members of the community when they need it most.

Behind every K-9 is countless hours of training, dedication, and a special partnership with their handler.

Join us in giving all of our FPD K9s some extra love today!

🐾 Happy National Dog Day! 🐾

Today we’re celebrating the four-legged members of our community — from our hardworking police K9s to the loyal companions at home. 💙

Our K9 partners play an important role in helping keep Fullerton safe, while somehow still finding time to be very good boys and girl. (Treat compensation may be involved.)

Happy from the Fullerton Police Department, K-9 Alpha, K-9 Goose, K-9 Echo, K-9 Kilo and K9 Nubbin.

Today, with heavy hearts, the Fullerton Police Canine Association announces the passing of retired Fullerton Police K-9 Jax, who crossed the rainbow bridge on May 19, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer.

K-9 Jax faithfully served the Fullerton community for seven years alongside his handler with unwavering loyalty, courage, and dedication. After an incredible career, Jax retired in 2022 and transitioned from protecting our community to enjoying a well-earned retirement.

Jax’s impact extended far beyond his service years. In 2018, he inspired the creation of the Fullerton Police Canine Association, and we are incredibly thankful our foundation was able to support his ongoing medical treatment throughout retirement.

Without the generosity of our community, supporters, and local businesses through donations, Jax’s long and well-enjoyed retirement would not have been possible. Your support gave him additional time surrounded by love, comfort, and the family who cared for him so deeply.

Like so many of our four-legged partners, Jax was more than just a police dog — he was a teammate, protector, and family member.

We extend our deepest condolences to Jax’s handler, family, and everyone whose lives he touched throughout his years of service.

Run free, Jax. Thank you for your service and sacrifice. You were a good boy to the very end.
🖤💙🌈 🐾
