Magnificent Missouri Every single day, committed individuals and organizations work to conserve the natural assets of Missouri. That’s why we formed Magnificent Missouri.

Building on the investment and land conservation efforts of the Katy Land Trust, Magnificent Missouri supports conservation, economic development, and historic preservation efforts in communities along the Missouri River and the Katy Trail. We know that Missourians would like to celebrate the natural richness of our State and would be happy to contribute to a diverse group of conservation organizations. We believe that all St. Louisans can enrich our appreciation for our beautiful State when we spend more time in the countryside…and that all of Missouri benefits as a result! In the spirit of collective impact, Magnificent Missouri facilitates social events, meetings and other activities to create awareness of conservation efforts, raise funds, foster collaboration, and to get people out in the country.

Magnificent Missouri is collaborating with Conservation Federation of Missouri to provide college students with an opportunity to intern and learn about the Katy Trail this summer. This will be an annual program, so there will be positions available in future summers to build a group of knowledgeable and capable future stewards of the Katy Trail.

Check out confedmo.org/parks-and-soils-sales-tax/ to find the 28 Yes on 1 yard sign distribution locations. Signs are available in a variety of sizes depending on location.

Yard signs are available at Peers Store starting Friday July 17 for those who want one!

We've been meeting new friends across Missouri as we spread the word about Amendment 1 and why it matters to Missouri's state parks, soils, and water resources.

Amendment 1 continues Missouri's Parks, Soils, and Water Sales Tax for another 10 years. This is not a new tax—it's the existing one-tenth of one percent (0.1%) sales tax that Missouri voters have approved since 1984.

Thank you to everyone who has asked questions, shared your thoughts, and put up a sign. Together, we can help protect the places we love for future generations.
