What does $25 get you these days? On September 10th it gets you one meat, two sides, a roll, an adult drink ticket from Saloon Door Brewing, and a great time at Backyard Brews and Barbecue.

Kids are welcome.

Every single dollar from your ticket goes right back to Friendswood ISD teachers.

You've been waiting for a fun way to back the teachers your kids count on.

Thank you for every way our community already shows up for Friendswood ISD educators. Next we're hosting backyard brews and barbecues on September 10th at 6:30 p.m. at Friendswood Learning Academy, formerly Kid City.

Nothing beats a night that feels good while doing real good. We put every dollar straight toward leave costs so local teachers never have to choose between their paycheck and their health or family. That's how neighbors protect the people who show up for our classrooms.

You want teachers who stay in the classroom for the long run, not ones forced out because having a baby costs them a paycheck.

When education funding falls short, students show up less prepared for the workforce, and maternity leave is one big reason people leave a profession they care about deeply.

Parents for Public Education covers leave costs for teachers through direct grants and works to change the Texas law that puts them in this spot.

You want teachers who can afford to stay for your kids.

A massive 2024 Texas survey showed over 78% of public school teachers seriously considering leaving. Numbers eased a little since, but unpaid maternity leave and thin state funding keep pushing people out as inflation climbs. Teachers simply cannot cover the basics when they need time away.

Parents for Public Education gives direct grants to teachers so they can take leave without losing their paycheck.

We are neighbors making sure support stays local and teachers stay in our classrooms. That is the change our kids deserve.
