We want to take a moment to recognize and sincerely thank all of our instructors who attended and committed to our instructor training program. Being an instructor is no easy task. It means spending time away from family, committing to teach two nights a week and giving your time and knowledge to help develop the next generation of our trade. We truly appreciate each and every one of you for stepping up, giving back to our membership, and helping strengthen our trade. And a big congratulations to our graduates!
Frank flores, graduated from the instructor program and jonhenry lopez, graduated from the coordinator program. Congratulations on your accomplishments and on taking the next step in your leadership journey! Thank you to everyone who continues to invest their time, knowledge and passion into our membership. And our trade. investing in our future!

This is not good for our Traditional Joint Labor Management Apprenticeship Programs. Get educated and stay updated on what's going on behind the scens of these mega projects nationwide.

We are deeply disappointed in META’s partnership with ABC.

“Meta is betting $115 million on us not noticing that their workforce training program is nothing but an anti-union sham, designed to further erode workers’ rights and channel people into ever-worse jobs.”

Happy 4th of July, sisters, brothers, and Friends! Today we celebrate the birth of our great nation. As we gather with family and friends to enjoy backyard barbecues and fireworks, let's also remember the values that unite us. We celebrate the freedoms we enjoy and the generations who fought to protect them. We're especially proud to recognize hard-working union members who continue to build, maintain, and strengthen our communities every single day. We wish you and your loved ones a safe, happy, and memorable holiday weekend!

Building futures. Creating opportunities. Straightening our communities.
We're proud to celebrate our 48th pre-apprentice cohort, another group of hard-working individuals taking the first step towards rewarding careers in the union Construction trades. This pre-apprenticeship program is designed to introduce members of our community to the many opportunities available through the building trades. Participants learn about careers that offer livable wages, quality health care, retirement benefits, safer working conditions, and the opportunity to earn while you learn through registered apprenticeship programs. This program is more than job training, it's a pathway to the middle class. It opens doors for individuals who are ready to build a better future for themselves and provide lasting Financial stability for their families.
Congratulations to this all women's cohort, we look forward to seeing the impact you'll make in our industry and in your communities. The future is built by people like you.

Today, our UA brothers and sisters from all over California along with members of other Union trades who are a part of the State Building & Construction trades council came together at the state Capitol to oppose legislation that threatens the interest of working men and women across our industry. (AB-1751) is a race to the bottom.
As Union trades people, we understand that an attack on one trade affects us all. That's why we remain committed to standing in solidarity with the entire building trades community, advocating for policies that protect good paying Union jobs, skilled craftsmanship, worker protection, and the future of our industry.
