Thank you to the incredible Elks volunteers who make our Rose Parade float possible each year.
As we celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Elks National Memorial in Chicago, Illinois, the Elks USA float, Elks Care, Elks Share, earned the Isabella Coleman Trophy for the most outstanding presentation of color and color harmony through floral design. And wow, it was truly striking.
From the great elk statue at the front, crafted from seaweed, poppy and clover seeds, and powdered rice, to the massive centerpiece tree topped with roses and cymbidiums, accented by dendrobiums in red, yellow, and white, every detail reflected extraordinary care and precision. Bright strobing stars were flanked by golden statues representing charity, justice, brotherly love, and fidelity. At the rear, the rotunda of the Elks National Memorial stood as a powerful tribute to all veterans who have served, or will serve, in our nation’s wars.
This achievement represents countless volunteer hours, remarkable craftsmanship, and a shared commitment to excellence. Our float volunteers make it possible to showcase the heart of Elkdom and share our mission with millions across the nation.
Thank you for your dedication, creativity, and service. You truly make a difference.
Feel inspired. Share the camaraderie. Celebrate Elkdom.
And if you are inspired to Be The Difference, we invite you to be part of it.
