Update on Penny

Good news! The pressure sore she had is almost healed. As you can see from the x-rays, the break across her paw (circled, diagonal across entire paw) and in her rear leg (also circled) are both healing nicely. If all continues to go this well, she may be cast-free in two weeks.

This long and difficult situation, which Penny has handled like a saint, has meant extended expenses for the shelter. We appreciate your donations.

We would again like to thank the doctors and staff at Paws and Claws for their outstanding care.

Our little pup is getting a fresh start, but she still needs a name! With all the help we’ve received from the public, we wanted the public to have a chance to name her. Please put your suggestions in the comments. On Monday, all suggestions will go into a hat and we will randomly draw.
