Our Post is located on Highway 55 in Freedom, Wisconsin. We received our Charter June 17, 1946. We host an Auxiliary Charter and Honor Guard.

On Monday, July 20, Freedom VFW held its annual Cookout and Awards at the VFW Hall.

Congratulations to Jodi Roskowski, who received the Public Servant Award in recognition of her dedication and service to our community.

Marty Van Groll was also honored with an appreciation plaque for the many extra hours and behind the scenes work he does to support the Post.

Today we’re proud to recognize Rick Weyenberg, a dedicated member of our VFW Post!

Rick served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1969–1972. During his service, he earned honors as a Rifle Expert and Pistol Sharpshooter. He has continued his commitment to veterans as a VFW member for 16 years.

A few things about Rick:

🏈 Favorite team: Green Bay Packers
🎶 Enjoys listening to 70s & 80s music
🔥 Loves a good grill out
