Our annual Franklin Classic Golf Tournament on Columbus Day was a huge success! Beautiful day! Great play at the always manicured Westhaven Golf Club. Lots of fun, laughs, and a best of all, after expenses, ALL the money raised goes to our committees who use the allocation to help local non-profits, help people whose homes are in need of repair, sent students to RYLA and provide scholarships to college, and help communities struggling with clean water.

Thanks to all our hard working members who raised money, volunteered to help on the day of play, set up our tents, monitored the Putting for Wh***ey contest, sold mulligans, and distributed golf pullovers or mugs to the players.

The very next day, we started planning the event for next year. Mark your calendars for October 11, 2027 and join us!

Huge congratulations to our fellow Williamson county on their new installation at Rodeo Park in Franklin of a beautiful bronze statue honoring their long standing Franklin Noon Rodeo. Their hard work at fundraising over many, many years had helped our friends and neighbors both here and across the globe!

Be sure and drive by the original rodeo grounds, now the baseball fields on DelRio, and see the statue and reflect for a moment on the effort of those original members who planned something bigger than they ever imagined!

Last Wednesday morning, our Community Support Committee awarded the DoorStep project a check for $3000 to support women returning to the workforce after escaping violence at home. Violence in the home is one of the most difficult situations to escape. After leaving the Domestic Violence Center, DoorStep provides the supports needed for women and their children to start over in a healthly environment.

One of our favorite things to do is support local nonprofits. All of the money raised at our golf tournament after expenses is distributed through our committees. This is the work of the Community Support Committee that receives grant requests and awards grants. Here are our President, Tony Sharpe and President-Elect, John Fortune presenting a check to Franklin Cancer Walk for their work in raising awareness and funds to assist children and adults with cancer. Thank you, Samantha Shepard for your hard work in our community.

Our club along with Franklin Noon worked the One Generation Away golf tournament today. It might have been a little bit warm, (ha! HOT). It was good fun meeting new friends!
