Happy Monday! Part 3 of our Being a Watchman summer series features Dr. Charles Qualls. He is another pastor who has dealt with grief on many occasions. With his experience, he has come to find that being a watchman is not about fighting all of the battles, but being present with others as they process their anger, tears, and even laughter.

Happy Memorial Day! We are beginning a series called Being a Watchman. First up is Captain Tommy Potter (and today is his birthday!)

After 27 years of service, he has come to know that hope can co-exist with adversity. Standing in the gap for others after tragedy doesn’t always mean having the answers, but making yourself present during the grief.

Some of the most important conversations happen in the rooms where people feel seen, heard, and supported. 🤍

This year, The Widow Walk is looking to connect with you. Churches. Conferences. Vendor events. Community gatherings. Women’s ministries. Worship nights. Grief support spaces.

We want to continue creating conversations around grief, healing, hope, and community for widows and widowers who may feel like they are walking this journey alone.

If your church, organization, or event would welcome, The Widow Walk to speak, share, partner, or set up as a vendor, we would love to connect.

Virginia + North Carolina, we’re ready to expand the mission and reach more hearts. 🤍

Happy Monday! Today’s episode features Terri Lyn Phillips. Almost 18 years ago, she became a widow to a policeman killed in the line of duty. With the loss of her husband, as well as other losses in her life, she has chosen to find the positives, which has kept her on the path of faith.
