🍉 A huge thank you to Mark's Produce! 🍉

Mark's Produce treated everyone at Franklin's Fourth of July Celebration to some of the best watermelon around!

The best quote of the evening came from a young boy, about 8 years old. Looking around in amazement, he said,

"I've never seen anyone just hand out free slices of watermelon! This is really something special!"

That simple comment captured exactly what we hoped the evening would be—a community coming together to enjoy the little things that make summer and the Fourth of July so memorable.

Thank you, Mark's Produce, for generously donating all of the watermelon. It was absolutely delicious and enjoyed by so many families at Barrett's Landing on Wednesday evening.

After all... what would a Fourth of July celebration be without watermelon? 🇺🇸🍉

We are beyond grateful. ❤️

This year’s Lumberjack Festevent could not have happened without an incredible community showing up in every way possible.

To everyone who helped before the event—planning, organizing, and bringing all the pieces together—thank you.

To those who handled setup, logistics, and technology—you made everything run smoothly.

To our amazing vendors, activity leaders, and volunteers who showed up on a cold, rainy day and gave it your all—you are the heart of this event.

And to everyone who came out despite the weather… thank you. The rain didn’t stop the spirit of the day, and that’s because of you.

We were so lucky to have incredible entertainment—from the lumberjack show and chainsaw carving to the competition, axe throwing, games, s’mores, and a fantastic evening with The Deloreans.

And to our sponsors—your support made all of this possible. We are truly grateful.

It takes a village to create something like this—and this village showed up.

After a full day of prep (and a lot of great people stepping up to help), everything is coming together.

It takes a lot more than one group to pull something like this together…

Today was one of those days where you’re reminded what community really looks like.

We had help getting the grounds ready thanks to Padilla, Wilson, and Burgess putting in the work mowing and getting everything looking right.

Milling, NC generously donated two large cedar logs for our chainsaw carver—can’t wait to see what those turn into this Saturday.

And when we realized the logs were a little too big to load, Alfredo and Jordan jumped in, cut them down, and made sure everything fit safely in the trailer.

To top it off, we even had a friend stop by with fresh, homemade strawberry muffins (and yes—they were as good as they sound!).

So many people stepping in, pitching in, and making this event happen.

That’s what this is all about.

And we’re ready for Saturday—rain or shine.

🪵 It didn’t just show up… it was BUILT.

A huge thank you to Dave Lease and Kenny McClelland for putting together our GIANT co****le board for this year’s Lumberjack Festevent!

This project has truly been a team effort from start to finish. David White Crane Service stored the sections for us over the past year and then delivered everything to the lot so the build could even happen.

From there, Dave and Kenny put in the time, effort, and muscle to bring it all together and create something fun (and a little larger-than-life 😄) for everyone to enjoy.

And when a tool gave out mid-build, Walters Outdoor Power Equipment stepped in and saved the day by loaning an auger so the work could keep moving.

That’s what community looks like.

Be sure to check out the giant co****le board this Saturday—and maybe give it a try while you’re there!

We’re watching the forecast just like you… and yes, it looks like we may get a little rain on Saturday.
