Over the weekend, Cue watched every one of her puppies leave for their forever homes. One by one, they packed their bags, met their families, and started their happily ever afters. And while we couldn't be happier for them...We can't help but think about Mama Cue. Because she's still waiting.

A few months ago, Cue was one of nearly 30 dogs rescued from a hoarding situation in Utica. At the time, she was very pregnant and running out of time. We raced to find her a foster home, and thankfully we did. Because less than 12 hours later, Cue gave birth to her puppies safely in a warm home surrounded by people who cared.

Since then, Cue has done an incredible job. She protected her babies. She nurtured them. She watched them grow. And now that her mom duties are officially complete, it's finally time for someone to take care of HER.

Cue is approximately 1 year old and a beautiful Rottweiler mix with the sweetest personality.

She recently attended an adoption event and did wonderfully, charming everyone she met with her gentle nature and happy personality.

The thing we love most about Cue is her resilience. Despite the life she came from. Despite raising puppies while learning what safety felt like herself. Despite all the changes she's experienced over the last few months. Cue remains loving, trusting, and ready to embrace whatever comes next.

Now we're hoping that next chapter includes:

If you've been following Rover's Do Over for any length of time, chances are you've seen Watson. And chances are you've fallen in love with her. Because honestly? How could you not? Watson's story started with heartbreak. She was found severely neglected, struggling to walk, and facing challenges no dog should ever have to endure. But if Watson has taught us anything, it's that resilience is real. Because this little girl refused to let her past define her.

Today, Watson is full of life.

Every time we visit Brooklyn, we're reminded how resilient dogs can be. Despite everything she has endured... She still greets people with kindness. She still seeks affection. She still believes there are good people in this world.

We cannot officially bring her into the Rover's Do Over family until we have a foster home lined up.

Brooklyn isn't looking for a temporary stop. She's looking for a long-term foster willing to help her heal. A person willing to offer patience, stability, and a soft place to land while she recovers from both the physical and emotional wounds of her past.

What we know about Brooklyn:

Six months of waking up in a kennel. Six months of watching other dogs come and go. Six months of wondering when it will finally be his turn. And honestly? We think six months is far too long for a dog as wonderful as Jackson. Jackson is still waiting at animal control for someone to give him a chance. A foster. An adopter. Anyone willing to look beyond the kennel and see the incredible dog underneath.
The hardest part about long-term shelter dogs is that people start to assume there must be something wrong with them. But that's not true. Sometimes they simply get overlooked. Sometimes they arrive at the wrong time. Sometimes they just need someone willing to take a chance. And Jackson has been waiting patiently for that chance for HALF A YEAR.

Think about that.

While seasons changed.
While holidays came and went.
While countless people walked past his kennel.

Jackson stayed.

Still hoping.

Still waiting.

What we know is this:

If you met Parker when he first arrived at animal control, you would hardly recognize him today. When Parker was abandoned and brought into animal control's care, he was completely shut down.

Heartbroken.

Terrified.

Unsure of the world around him.

The kind of dog who made himself as small as possible and just wanted to disappear. But thanks to the incredible staff and volunteers at animal control, Parker has slowly started to believe in people again. And what a transformation it has been. πŸ₯Ή

This past Saturday, Parker spent the day at our event and absolutely SHINED.

πŸ’› He greeted people with his signature pittie smile.
πŸ’› He happily met new friends.
πŸ’› He loved spending time around other dogs.
πŸ’› He showed everyone just how far he's come.

And honestly? Watching him walk around with confidence was enough to make us emotional. Because this is the dog we knew was hiding in there all along. One thing Parker has made very clear is that he absolutely LOVES other dogs. A canine companion would likely make him very happy and continue helping him build confidence as he navigates this big world.

But at the end of the day, Parker still had to go back. Back to the kennel. Back to waiting. Back to hoping someone would finally choose him.

We would LOVE to bring Parker into the Rover's Do Over family. But we can't do that without a foster or adopter stepping forward first. Because foster homes are what allow us to say yes.

At just 6 months old, Paisley is already the kind of dog people spend years looking for.

Seriously.

She's smart.
She's friendly.
She's eager to learn.
And she's absolutely adorable.

Paisley was found as a stray and never claimed, but she hasn't let that stop her from thriving in foster care.

Milton has been through more in his first year of life than most dogs should ever have to experience.

A few months ago, he was rescued from a cruelty case. Since then, he's learned what it means to be safe. What it means to have a full belly. What it means to be loved. And now there's only one thing left on his wish list:

The thing about Milton is that he doesn't demand attention. He's not the loudest dog in the room. He's not constantly trying to steal the spotlight. He's just... happy.

This adorable 3–5-year-old French Bulldog has been through a lot recently, but through it all she has remained nothing short of sweet, loving, and incredibly resilient. Frannie is currently looking for a foster-to-adopt home while we finish addressing some of her medical needs. And trust us when we say... She is absolutely worth it. πŸ’—

Like many Frenchies, Frannie came to us with a few medical issues that need some extra attention.

She is currently being treated for:

🐾 Ear infections
🐾 A small ulcer in her eye

And she is also recovering from an emergency spay. During surgery, our veterinary team discovered old non-dissolvable sutures from a previous C-section that had caused significant internal irritation and inflammation over time. Needless to say, this little girl has been carrying around discomfort for much longer than she should have had to. But here's the amazing part:

Despite everything she's been through...Frannie still greets each day with love. She still wants cuddles. She still wants to be close to her people. She still believes the best days are ahead of her. And we think she's right.

We're looking for a foster-to-adopt family willing to help Frannie finish her recovery while giving her the stability, comfort, and love she deserves.

Meet Noodle, one of the newest members of the Rover's Do Over family!

Noodle came to us from animal control after being found as a stray and sadly never claimed. While we can't understand how anyone could be missing this little sweetheart, we're determined to make sure her next home is her forever home. πŸ–€
