Meet Sam, a gentle 12-year-old boy who has spent his entire life with one loving owner. When his elderly person could no longer give him the care he deserves, she made the heartbreaking but selfless choice to find him a soft place to land — rather than face a shelter.

Sam is a simple, easygoing fella. He enjoys walks where he can mosey and sniff everything, and he’s good with other dogs, people, and kids. He’s housebroken, walks nicely on leash, and is just looking for a peaceful retirement home to spend his golden years being loved.

When people think about saving a dog's life, they often picture the moment they're adopted. But the truth is...the first life-changing decision is made by a foster family.
It's the family who says, "You can stay with us until your forever family finds you." It's the first warm bed. The first quiet night's sleep. The first walk around the neighborhood. The first time they learn what it feels like to simply belong. That's the power of fostering.

At Rover's Do Over, we're 100% foster-based. That means we can't say "yes" to dogs waiting in our local animal control facilities unless someone is willing to open their home first.

**FOSTER PENDING**

🚨 Emergency Foster Needed! 🚨

This sweet girl was dumped in a rural area—scared and confused with nowhere to go. Thankfully, kind Good Samaritans stopped, picked her up, and brought her to safety. They’ve been temporarily caring for her while she works on recovering medically, but they can’t keep her long-term.

Situations like this pop up in rescue all the time — and when they do, we drop everything and do whatever we can to lend a hand. We couldn’t do any of this without our community… and right now, we need your help to find her a foster home.

Rover’s Do Over will cover everything — food, medical care, supplies, the works. We just need a quiet foster home where she can continue healing and feel safe.

She’s a loving girl who simply wants to be close to her person. She tends to feel more comfortable with females and is looking for that calm, steady human connection.

She is housebroken and crate trained and often prefers hanging out in her crate.
