Team Framingham and the City of Framingham Announces 5 Nonprofit Organizations Selected for Team Framingham 2027
FRAMINGHAM - The City of Framingham and Team Framingham is pleased to announce that five nonprofit organizations have been selected through a lottery to benefit from Team Framingham 2027.
Seventeen organizations applied for the opportunity, and tonight's Team Framingham lottery identified the five organizations that will receive fundraising support from the 27 runners selected to represent Framingham in the 2027 Boston Marathon on Monday, April 19, 2027.
Team Framingham brings together runners who share a commitment to community service and philanthropy. Through their participation in the Boston Marathon, the 27 selected runners will raise funds and awareness for these organizations, helping support their missions and the important work they do throughout Framingham and the MetroWest region.
The five organizations selected for Team Framingham 2027 are:
Circle of Hope – Needham, Massachusetts
Located at 1329 Highland Avenue, Suite 3, in Needham, Circle of Hope collects, stores, and delivers clothing, shoes, bedding, and hygiene essentials to individuals and families experiencing homelessness and housing insecurity.
The organization addresses gaps in access to these basic necessities by providing reliable resources to eight shelters and schools in Framingham: Clinton House Family Shelter, Pearl Street Family Shelter, Pathways Family Shelter, Gordon Street Family Shelter, South Middlesex Opportunity Council (SMOC) scattered-site shelters, Framingham State University, Framingham High School, and Voices Against Violence Shelter. Circle of Hope's work also supports Framingham students facing emotional and academic challenges.
Layla Lynn Bober Memorial Foundation – Framingham
Created in memory of Layla Lynn Bober, who died unexpectedly at age 4 in 2019, the foundation honors her life by supporting organizations that were important to Layla and her family. Its charitable efforts benefit local programs serving children and families, including opportunities for scholarships, equipment, program supplies, and participation in activities that enrich children's lives.
Leadership MetroWest – Framingham
Leadership MetroWest develops community leaders and builds connections among people committed to making a positive difference throughout the region. Through leadership development and collaborative opportunities, the organization helps participants strengthen their skills, deepen their understanding of regional issues, and work together to address community needs.
Jeff's Place – Framingham
Located at 281 Pleasant Street in Framingham, Jeff's Place provides a supportive community for grieving children, teens, adults, and families. Through grief support groups and related services, the organization helps people navigate loss, build meaningful connections, and understand that they do not have to grieve alone.
MetroWest Nonprofit Network – Framingham
Based in Framingham, MetroWest Nonprofit Network strengthens the nonprofit sector throughout the region by connecting organizations and their leaders with resources, professional development, and opportunities to collaborate. The network helps nonprofits build their capacity, share knowledge, and work together to create stronger communities.
Team Framingham - Boston Marathon 2027 congratulates all five selected organizations and thanks the 17 organizations that applied for Team Framingham 2027.
The strong response reflects the breadth of nonprofit work that supports residents and strengthens communities throughout the region.
