📣 Our FAHS volunteers are working on a FUN historic display at the Fowlerville District Library ! We don’t have the storage space to purchase props for our History of the Fowlerville Fair exhibit but we think you all might be able to help us!

We are looking to borrow some cute barnyard buddies, small enough to fit in our display cases (like a beanie baby size) and some play produce and desserts to honor our Agricultural and Home Arts programs!

Think cows, chickens, goats and cherry pie!!! 🥧 🐮

And of course horses, to honor harness racing and the rodeo! 🐎

Let’s dig up some history for the 140th celebration of the Fowlerville Family Fair! 🪏 🎡

Got ribbons? The Fowlerville Area Historical Society is excited to partner with the Fowlerville District Library and the Fowlerville Agricultural Society to create a special "History of the Fowlerville Family Fair" exhibit honoring 140 years of memories, hard work, and hometown pride.
We're looking for historical items that help tell the story of our fair, including:
*4-H flags and memorabilia
*Framed photos of prize winners
*Homemaker of the Year photos or memorabilia
*Pictures of kids with their livestock
*Fair awards, ribbons, and trophies
*Antique baking, sewing, quilting, and home arts implements
*Photos of the original midway, rides, or fairgrounds
*Any other fair memorabilia or photographs that capture the spirit and history of the Fowlerville Family Fair
To help preserve these treasured pieces, framed photographs will be displayed on the exhibit walls, while artifacts and memorabilia will be securely protected in locked display cases throughout the exhibit. If you're willing to loan an item, please drop it off at the Fowlerville District Library by 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 16. Include your name and contact information so we can properly identify and safely return your items after the exhibit. Cheers to 140 years!

With just weeks to go until the 140th Fowlerville Family Fair, we're celebrating the rich history and traditions that have made our fair a cherished part of our community for generations.

The Fowlerville Area Historical Society is excited to partner with the Fowlerville District Library and the Fowlerville Agricultural Society to create a special "History of the Fowlerville Family Fair" exhibit honoring 140 years of memories, hard work, and hometown pride.

Our historical society volunteers are so proud to be a part of this special day of learning at the Fowlerville Fairgrounds!

It's Spring (almost??) so that means activity is ramping up at the Livingston Centre Historical Village! Our annual Spring Clean Up is scheduled for May 13th with our amazing sponsors, Peachy Kay's Cleaning Service and Roots & Branch Tree and Landscape Service. Not only do they sponsor our village and programs, they love getting their hands dirty! They will be leading our teams of helping hands as we get the Historical Village ready for the open season!

If you would like to participate, please send us a message! Businesses and individuals welcome. They say dress for success, so be sure to wear appropriate clothing and shoes. Gloves recommended. We'll be playing outside! All things gardening, digging in edging, spreading mulch, planting perennials and of course cleaning inside the beloved buildings.
