From May 22-24 The Michigan Masonic Grand Lodge held it’s Annual Communication at the
Soaring Eagle Casino in Mt. Pleasant. Over 240 Michigan Lodges were represented by their
delegates and invitees.
This is an annual event that addresses legislative amendments, legislative discussion and
judicial decisions. Workshops covering a variety of community and Lodge needs were available the
first day. These meetings help the Masons of Michigan in regard to their best roads to help and
participate with our local communities.
On day two officers were elected and their cabinets appointed. The Fowlerville Masonic Lodge
was represented by Bob Redinger and Irv LaLonde and is proud to announce that Glendon (Butch)
Redinger has been appointed as one of the Grand Lodge Stewards. This position is an “aide de
camp” responsibility. Butch will assist in the daily necessities of The Grand Master such as
itineraries, communication and scheduling. This position will help Butch to understand the nuances
and skills needed if he should choose to progress through “the line” to higher positions.
One of the appealing aspects to Butch’s new position is that he will be able to travel throughout
the great state of Michigan as there Lodges everywhere.
If you run into Butch, please congratulate him.
We are also thankful for the support we, as Lodge Members, are able to offer Butch. We are
blessed to have him as a representative. Most importantly, thank you to Butch’s wife Jann. She will
be invaluable to him as he negotiates his new adventure.
