The Upside of Having a Creek? The beauty, the peaceful sounds, and the scenery!

The downside? Trying to get a tractor across it! 😂🚜

There's a reason we're called Creekside Farm & Equine Rescue!

This is a BIG ask, and one we've postponed for 6 years now. We're hoping to build a bridge that will allow us to access part of our property for mowing, hauling hay, and general farm maintenance. 😬 This will give us access to nearly 1/4 of our property that is currently inaccessible by tractor/vehicle.

We're looking for donations of heavy-duty I-beams, an old flatbed trailer, or other suitable materials to help us build a crossing approximately 25–30 feet long.

If you have something lying around that might work, or know someone who does, we'd love to hear from you!

As always, donations and shares are greatly appreciated! And feel free to tag anyone who might have a connection!!

🌾 Wishlist Wednesday 🌾

Andddd we need hay. Again. 😂

We’re trying a different hay supplier this time. The hay we’ve been getting just hasn’t been the same quality lately — it’s been a little drier and dustier than we’d like. With as much hay as we go through, we want to make sure we’re putting that money toward good, nutritious hay for everyone.

The new hay is $60 a bale and we have to get at least 5 at a time, so our goal is $300 for the next load.

You absolutely do NOT have to sponsor a whole bale! $5, $10, $15 — it all adds up and gets us closer.

🌾 $60 = 1 bale
🌾 $30 = ½ bale
🌾 $15 = ¼ bale

Because apparently buying hay is our full-time job now. 😂

Goal: $300 for 5 bales

As always, donations and shares both help more than you know. ❤️

For everyone who heard Saturday’s mystery sound and tried to figure out what on earth it was…

It was MOO. 😂

More specifically, it was Moo absolutely going to town on her new mineral block!

And judging by the sound effects, we’d say she approves. 😂

What we really loved, though, was seeing just how much she enjoyed it — and of course, that immediately had us thinking about the rest of the crew. They all deserve one.

Mineral blocks may not be the most exciting thing to fundraise for, but to them? Apparently it’s a five-star dining experience. 😂

If you enjoyed Moo’s little mystery and would like to help us get mineral blocks for the rest of the animals here at Creekside Farm & Equine Rescue, we’d be incredibly grateful for any help. ❤️

One block made Moo THIS happy. Let’s see how many more happy faces we can make. 🐮🐴🐐🐑

And seriously… did ANYONE guess that sound correctly?! 😂

09/26/2026

Alright, Creekside friends… let’s see how good your ears really are. 👀

Turn the volume up, listen closely, and tell us what you think is making that sound.

And no — we’re NOT talking about the crow at the end. 😂

First instinct or wild guess — we want to hear it. 👇

🎥 We’re keeping the video under wraps until tomorrow…

So lock in those guesses now — because once you see it, you’ll never guess it wrong again. 👀😏

SNEAK PEEK 👀🦆

Wellllll… somebody has apparently decided to be a duck after all. 😂❤️

Video coming later because you HAVE to see this. 🥹💦

If you saw the news today about the animals found at a homeless encampment in Greenville County, you may recognize this girl. 🦆

She is now safe with us at Creekside.

This video may not look like much. It's a duck standing in a pond.

But she isn't swimming. She's standing on the bottom, in the shallowest part where her feet can stay firmly on the ground.

We don't know how much access she's ever had to water or what her life looked like before she was found. What we do know is what we see in front of us now: her feathers are in terrible condition, her flight feathers have been cut, she cannot fly, and she can barely walk. Surprisingly, she is not thin at all.

So today we simply let her stand there.

No pushing her into deeper water. No expectations. She can figure out the pond—and everything else—on her own time.

For now, she has food. She has water. She has soft places to rest. She has a pond waiting for her whenever she's ready.

And most importantly, she doesn't have to be tied up anymore.

Welcome to Creekside, sweet girl. 🦆❤️

We'll take it from here.

Morning coffee tastes so much better with this view!

We are aaalllmmmooossttt done with the goats’ new pasture!

This was one of our fundraisers, and we know it has taken us way longer to finish than we ever expected. We’ve done the work ourselves, little by little, fitting it in around Paul’s health (and rest!!), work, everyday rescue life, and with a 15-month-old in tow. Some days we got a lot done. Some days we got one post in. But we kept going.

And now we can finally look out here and see the finish line. 💚

To everyone who donated toward this pasture and trusted us to put those dollars to work for the animals—thank you for being patient with us. It may have taken five times longer than we planned, but it’s almost ready for the goats (well, the rest of them! Marshmallow - sleeping down front - is enjoying her alone time and all the grass she can consume).

Just a little bit more to go. ❤️

On September 11, 2001, 2,977 people went to work, boarded airplanes, responded to calls, or simply began an ordinary Tuesday—and never came home.

Thousands of families were forever changed.

First responders ran toward something unimaginable. In the days and months that followed, thousands more worked at Ground Zero—firefighters, police officers, paramedics, construction workers, volunteers, and search and rescue teams, including hundreds of dogs who climbed across the rubble beside their handlers.

And September 11th did not end when the smoke cleared.

Twenty-five years later, survivors and responders are still living with illnesses and injuries connected to that day.

Families are still losing people. Others carry memories that never really leave.

As an animal rescue, the photographs of those dogs hit especially close to home. They didn't understand the magnitude of what had happened. They simply knew their job was to search—and they did, alongside people who refused to stop looking.

Today we remember all of them.

Those who died.
Those who ran toward danger.
Those who searched.
Those who survived.
Those who are still suffering.

And the families who have carried September 11th with them for 25 years.

We remember. We honor. We will never forget. 🇺🇸

I know it’s been a little quiet around here lately.

I’ve always worked full time, but lately I’ve had to make the drive into the office every day — about 3 hours on the road round trip. Between work, the commute, kids, the farm and everything else, I’m just now starting to catch my breath and get back to our normal.

But while the page has been quiet, the farm definitely hasn’t been.

The animals still eat. Every. Single. Day. 😂

And right now, HAY is our biggest need.

Grain is right behind it, but getting some hay in would take a HUGE weight off our shoulders.

I HATE doing this, but it’s time for me to ask our Creekside family for a little help.

If you can spare $5, $10, $20 or whatever is comfortable, it all adds up and goes directly toward keeping these bellies full.

And if donating isn’t possible right now, please share this post. Sometimes a share is just as valuable because it gets our animals in front of someone new who wants to help.

Thank y’all for sticking with us, even when we disappear from Facebook for a little while. We’re still here. We’re still doing the work. And these spoiled mouths are definitely still eating. ❤️

The posts may slow down sometimes. The work never does.
