ANOTHER STATE ATTORNEY INVESTIGATION!!
"Last night, the Town Council discussed questions regarding my ( Alexander Veiga ) residency/ qualifications for the town council district 2 seat i seek, and directed the Town Attorney to seek guidance from the State Attorney's Office.
I have fully cooperated with every request made during the qualification process, including providing additional documentation, filing all required candidate paperwork, submitting my financial disclosure, and executing a residency affidavit when requested.
I welcome a fair and impartial review of the facts and remain confident that I meet the qualifications to serve on the Fort White Town Council.
I have never attempted to hide my circumstances. My financial disclosure openly identifies my real property interests, including property located outside Town. Like many people, I own and spend time at more than one residence. But my commitment to the town of fort white, is clear.
I LIVE AND WORK in the town of fort white.
In March 2025, I purchased a home directly across from The Collective in Fort White. I began personally renovating the property, and it became one of my residences, allowing me to both live and work within Town.
Anyone who knows me knows that much of my time is spent in Fort White—whether working on the food truck, operating The Collective, working from my private office, attending Town Council and Planning & Zoning meetings, researching issues affecting our community, meeting with residents, or working through the many projects on my ever-growing to-do list.
I am also fortunate to have more than one residence and to spend time with family outside Town. I have never claimed otherwise, nor have I attempted to hide it. The question is not whether I have ever stayed somewhere else, but whether I meet the legal requirements applicable to this office. I remain confident that I do.
For the past several years, Fort White has been the center of my daily life. Through my business, community involvement, attendance at public meetings, and continued investment in our community, I have dedicated an enormous amount of my time, energy, and resources to helping Fort White succeed.
I respect the process and will continue to cooperate fully. At the end of the day, I trust that the facts will speak for themselves.
My focus remains exactly where it has always been:
Preserve Fort White. Build Our Future. Transparency. Accountability. Progress.
