Thank you FSC!!

Shoutout to the Springs Advocates who joined us yesterday at the Suwannee River Water Management District Governing Board Meeting 🤝 We were joined by springs lovers, cave divers, concerned citizens, and nonprofit partners including Our Santa Fe River, Sierra Club Suwannee St. Johns Group, and Save the Manatee Club 🗣️ We called on the SRWMD to reduce groundwater pumping to protect our springs, rivers, aquifer and drinking water!

We will continue to keep the pressure on and encourage the SRWMD staff to explore options to reduce pumping during the drought 🚰 Our springs and rivers need a better solution than just hoping for rain!

Thank you to advocates who showed up at the meeting and sent emails and postcards to the SRWMD 👏 And, a huge thanks to Alachua County for leading this effort to protect our springs!
