We lost another one this week. 🥲Bruno was surrendered about 3 years ago when his owner fell ill. He was adopted by a nice lady that took wonderful care of him. Unfortunately, Bruno passed away unexpectedly this week and his mom is heartbroken. Bruno was literally the best dog and loved everyone he met. Please keep him owner in your thoughts to help mend her heart.🌈🖤

Help this s***ky girl choose her Halloween look! Vote below: Pumpkin👍, Taco😡, Butterfly❤️, or Unicorn😆. 🌮 Judging by her face, Sidney would like to formally withdraw Taco from consideration. 😂
And we have something even better to celebrate: Sidney has TWO surgeries behind her! Her spay, dental, and mass removals are complete. She healed like a champ, and ALL mass samples came back benign! 🎉
Now she’s ready to bring her s***k to her forever home—preferably one with a better costume wardrobe. Foster Sis wears an XS, and Sidney says these hand-me-down options are cramping her style. 💅
Cast your costume vote, share her post, and help Sidney find her favorite thing to be: YOURS. 🧡🐾

Kenzi (silver pup) joined our Rescue back in 2015! She was an owner surrender was very spicy at first but settled into the bestest girl! Her family adopted her and took wonderful care of her. She had just recently lost her fur-brother Scooby so she must have been in a hurry to join him. They are no doubt running around in doggie heaven causing all kinds of mischief! Kenzi was 15 years old adopted by Amy Downey.

Run free Kenzi...see you at the Bridge 🌈🖤

🖤And we end the evening with some very sad news: Penny (of sisters Penny and Lucy fame) found her way to us last year when her owner passed and there was no family members or friends to take care of the girls. We knew that placing two senior girls with health issues was going to be a struggle. The girls stayed with several wonderful fosters for a while and even tried out different cribs until we found the perfect match. Lucy was adopted by her foster family and Penny went on to choose a wonderful couple who doted on her until the very end. Penny crossed the rainbow bridge on Friday. She started having issues breathing related to her heart condition. Her parents are understandably heartbroken and miss her terribly. We take peace in knowing she spent the last several months of her life spoiled and feeling nothing but love. Thank you to everyone who helped Penny (and Lucy) with their next chapter (and there were many who loved them dearly) and especially to Kelly and Tony for seeing beyond the frosty fur and the litany of medical issues and allowing Penny to be truly happy until the end in a house full of love. Run free Penny 🐾🌈
