πŸ’™ What a Wonderful Friday at Children in Crisis! πŸ’™

This past Friday was filled with teamwork, community, and a shared passion for our mission.

Before our Open House began, our team spent the afternoon together creating charcuterie boards and preparing for our guests. It was a fun team-building opportunity that reminded us how much can be accomplished when we work together toward a common goal.

That evening, we had the pleasure of welcoming community members, supporters, partners, and friends to our Open House. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who took the time to visit The Children's Neighborhood, tour our campus, and learn more about the work we do every day to provide homes, hope, and healing for children in need.

Thank you to everyone who came out to support Children in Crisis, Inc. and to learn more about our mission of keeping brothers and sisters together while providing a safe, nurturing environment where children can thrive.

We are so thankful for a community that believes in our mission and stands beside us in making a difference in the lives of local children. πŸ’™πŸ‘

This past weekend, we had the privilege of celebrating the incredible House Dads who make a difference every single day at The Children's Neighborhood.

With Father's Day approaching and as our nation begins celebrating America's 250th Anniversary, we hosted a special evening dedicated to the men who provide guidance, stability, encouragement, and fatherly support to the children in our care. Our House Dads enjoyed great food, fellowship, and the opportunity to watch UFC Freedom 250 live from the White House lawn, a uniquely American backdrop for an evening centered on service, sacrifice, and community.

While they may not always seek recognition, these men play an invaluable role in the lives of our children. They help with homework, attend school events, offer words of encouragement, teach life lessons, and provide the consistency and care that every child deserves.

As we celebrate the spirit of America and honor those who invest in the next generation, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to our House Dads for the love, dedication, and positive influence they bring to The Children's Neighborhood each and every day.πŸ’™

πŸ’™ What an Amazing Day at The Children's Neighborhood! πŸ’™

A huge thank you to the wonderful team from Sumiton Church of God in Alabama for spending the day serving our children and families!

Not only did they host a fun block party for our kids filled with smiles, laughter, and special memories, but they also rolled up their sleeves and got to work around our campus. From mowing and w**d eating to cleaning and organizing our pantry, their hard work and servant hearts made a tremendous impact.

Because of volunteers like these, our children get to experience the love and support of a community that truly cares.

Thank you, Sumiton Church of God, for investing your time, energy, and compassion into our mission. Your kindness has made our Neighborhood a little brighter and our hearts a little fuller. πŸ’™

πŸ’™ Thank You, Kiwanis Club of Niceville-Valparaiso ! πŸ’™

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the Niceville Kiwanis Club for helping keep our campus running smoothly by repairing our lawn mowers!

It may seem like a small thing, but having working equipment allows us to maintain a safe, clean, and beautiful environment for the children and families who call The Children's Neighborhood home. Your generosity and willingness to lend a helping hand make a meaningful difference in our day-to-day operations.

We are so grateful for community partners like the Niceville Kiwanis Club who continually step up to support our mission and the children we serve.

Thank you for helping us keep our Neighborhood looking its best! πŸŒ³πŸ‘πŸ’™

β˜€οΈπŸŽ Summer Pantry Alert! πŸŽβ˜€οΈ

School may be out for the summer, but our children's appetites certainly aren't! With all of our kiddos home throughout the day, our pantry supplies are being used much faster than usual, and we could use a little help from our amazing community.

Our foster families are working hard to keep growing kids fed, happy, and healthy, and donations of pantry staples can make a huge difference. Items like granola bars, cereal, juice boxes, crackers, easy meal options, and other kid-friendly snacks are always appreciated.

πŸŽ‰πŸ’™ The 2025–2026 Change for Children Campaign has officially come to an end! πŸ’™πŸŽ‰

What began as a simple idea in 2004 has grown into one of the most inspiring examples of children helping children throughout our community. For more than two decades, students across Okaloosa and Walton Counties have embraced the spirit of giving by collecting spare change to support foster kids at The Children's Neighborhood.

Today, the campaign proudly involves more than 30 schools, demonstrating the incredible impact that can be made when young people come together to help their peers. Every coin collected represents compassion, kindness, and the belief that every child deserves a safe and loving place to call home.

Last week, we had the privilege of recognizing our top fundraising schools at the Okaloosa County School Board Meeting:

πŸ† Top High School: Choctawhatchee High School – $1,875.00
πŸ† Top Middle School: Okaloosa STEMM Academy – $1,106.77
πŸ† Top Community School: Southside Primary School – $1,404.50
πŸ† Top Elementary School: Plew Elementary School – $3,100.39

Congratulations to all of our participating schools, students, faculty, and staff! Your generosity is helping provide hope, healing, and opportunity for children right here in Northwest Florida.

A special thank you to Eglin Federal Credit Union for their continued support of the Change for Children Campaign and our mission at Children in Crisis.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for making a difference. πŸ’™
