UGA Cooperative Extension helps Georgians become healthier, more productive, financially independent

UGA Cooperative Extension was founded in 1914 to take research-based agricultural information to the people of Georgia. Through the cooperative funding of federal, state and county governments, Extension agents are in almost every county in Georgia. County agents and specialists throughout the state share information on issues like water quality, profitability in agribusiness, family wellness and life skills. UGA Cooperative Extension coordinates 4-H, Georgia's largest youth program. Each year, almost 200,000 young Georgians participate in community projects, summer camps and conferences on today's issues while having fun and learning to work together. The leadership skills and responsible values they learn in 4-H last a lifetime.

🧵✂️ Sew Much Fun! 🍀

On October 28th, our amazing Peach County 4-H Sewing Club had an incredible time creating their very own handmade neck pillows from scratch! Our talented 4-H'ers not only learned new skills, such as measuring, cutting, and sewing, but also showed off their creativity and imagination by choosing their favorite fabrics designs! Our 4-H'ers were beaming with pride as they saw their projects come to life, and we couldn't be more proud of them! 😊

A big THANK YOU to our wonderful volunteer, Mrs. Kelly, for helping make it happen and sharing her expertise with us! 💚 Her guidance and support were invaluable, and we're so grateful to have her as part of our 4-H family!

🍀Welcome to the Peach County 4-H Team, Mrs. Beth!🍀

We are excited to officially welcome Beth Ware as our new AmeriCorps State Member for the 2026–2027 service year!

Beth has been involved with 4-H for approximately six years as a parent and volunteer. She brings a passion for youth development, leadership, and helping young people grow in confidence.

We are thrilled to have her joining our team and look forward to all the wonderful things she will help us accomplish this year!
