Last night we held our annual scholarship reception to honor all of our Girls Inc. recipients. $37,000 was given out to 15 young, amazing ladies: This program all began because of Jim and June Alexander who believed in helping girls be able to continue their higher education goals with less financial burden. It’s grown because of other faithful partners who also believe in this mission, including the Walter O. Caldwell Foundation and the Arcbest Do-Gooders club! Congratulations to all these Girls Inc. girls. We can’t wait to see what your future holds! Special thank you to Erin Gattis of Arcbest who addressed the audience of the importance of never giving up and staying true to yourself! ❤️

We were thrilled to partner with the Community School of the Arts on these inspirational murals for our building. It was so fun to watch and listen to them as they worked. You could truly tell this is a passion for all of these strong, smart and bold students. More to come in the next school year and we can’t wait! Special thanks to the local foundations that made this all possible and Tammy Roper for the collaboration suggestion!
