I have had 3 seperate non related incidents reported to my office in this month about LEO intimate partner domestic abuse where the victims reported the abuse on more than one occasion and the victim reports were not being taken seriously by the law enforcement agency because the perpetrators were employed by the law enforcement agency taking the report! These incidents were fortunately not in our Circuit, however, it raised issue to how frightening and even more difficult it is to be heard, when the abuser is in Law Enforcement or other prominent positions.

If this is happening to you or someone you know locally in Curcuit 19 which is St. Lucie, Indian River, Martin or Okeechobee Counties, Lets Blow The Whistle!!! Please reach out to WE LEAP INC. so we can document and report these incidents to the appropriate authorities to get it investigated, get some organization accountability, advocacy, assistance, protection and support in place for victims, and if necessary take legal action. Enough is enough! Silence Hides Violence! Awareness and Prevention matters! Law Enforcement is not above the Law!
