A great day to represent from the Corp at Leavenwort, KS.

Members from CAC Law EnforcementActivity / 67th MP Detachment - MWD and 15th Military Police Brigade in partnership with Fort Leavenworth SAMC provided a most excellent color guard during the Wreaths Across America - Leavenworth National Cemetery wreath laying.

Pres, 1LT Patrick Duffy, Member CPL Toole, and our PAO Randall Peaslee also ran two sections of the wreath laying, ensuring the sanctity of the process and pre and post set up and tear down.

Army Emergency Relief (AER) has expanded eligibility for ARNG SMs affected by Hurricane Milton. These individuals are normally NOT eligible for AER assistance. Assistance may be provided up to $600 as a Grant under Blanket Authority to eligible members who have been impacted by Hurricane Milton. Assistance may be considered for basic essential needs (Temporary Lodging, Food and Fuel). The request must be for a “valid need” associated with the disaster. This guidance will remain in effect until 25 October 2024.

Specialists/corporals and below can receive up to $500 and sergeants and above can receive up to $250 on their current loan balances. Credits will not exceed the current balance of the loan.

Last year, the SMA said he directed TRADOC to develop an Army level Blue Book. The TRADOC CSM, and his Enlisted Initiatives Group, put in countless hours, TDYs and IPRs to gather input for this document and for it to meet the SMA’s intent. Well, it’s here and will be formally released at AUSA. There will be a hard copy and a web app version.
