🎓❤️ HONORING A BEAUTIFUL LEGACY & INVESTING IN BRIGHT FUTURES! 🎨🎶

The Fort Dodge Fine Arts Association is proud to announce a very special NEW opportunity for area graduating seniors: the Susan Ahlers Leman Memorial Scholarship!

Susan had a tremendous love for the arts, her community, and especially young people. She believed in encouraging creativity, opening doors, and helping others discover their potential.

As Susan's sister, this scholarship is especially close to my heart. Our family is incredibly proud to honor her memory in a way that reflects so much of what she believed in. While we can't bring her back, we can continue the good she put into the world. ❤️

🌟 WHO CAN APPLY?

Graduating seniors from:
🎓 Fort Dodge Senior High School
🎓 St. Edmond High School
🎓 Webster City High School

📝 HOW TO APPLY:

Scholarship applications and information are available through each school's guidance counselors! Students are encouraged to visit their guidance office to learn more and pick up an application.

📣 HELP US SPREAD THE WORD!

This is the inaugural year of the Susan Ahlers Leman Memorial Scholarship, and we would love to make it something truly special!

Parents, teachers, counselors, friends, and community members, please help us share this opportunity with the graduating seniors in your lives!

Susan spent so much of her life making a difference for others. Now, through this scholarship, her legacy will continue by helping young people take their next steps toward a bright future.

What a wonderful way to keep her spirit, her passion, and her love for the arts alive. ❤️

👀 Did you miss it?! Don't forget to tune in to the most recent episode of FD TEA!

"FD TEA #25 | Iowa Central Visual Arts | Jacob Sorenson, Rochelle Green, & Jennifer Dutcher"

Shelly and Peter are back at Iowa Central, but this time in the art and technology building. We sit down with Rochelle Green (photography instructor) and Jennifer Dutcher (visual arts instructor) to discuss their paths to being instructors at Iowa Central, their lifelong love of art, some of their proudest moments with students, and more.

Then we bring in Iowa Central student Jacob Sorenson to discuss taking the Digital Arts Program at Iowa Central, the work he has done with local entities (including some Fort Dodge Fine Arts projects), and then Shelly hits everyone with some rapid fire questions.

Every once in a while, a gift comes along that deserves a standing ovation! 👏

We are THRILLED to share that the Fort Dodge Fine Arts Association has received an incredibly generous donation: a SIGNED Playbill from Broadway's recent production of Death of a Salesman, featuring Fort Dodge's very own Ben Ahlers! 🌟

And this isn't just ANY Playbill! Along with Ben's signature, it features the autographs of Broadway and Hollywood stars Christopher Abbott, Laurie Metcalf, and Nathan Lane! 🤩

This beautiful piece of Broadway history is in PRISTINE condition, and we're giving YOU the opportunity to own it!

Even better? Every dollar raised will help us continue bringing art, music, theatre, education, and cultural experiences to our community. ❤️

🎟️ Starting bid: $250 🎭 Bidding details: COMING SOON!

We are beyond grateful for this thoughtful and generous donation. What a special way to connect a little Fort Dodge hometown pride with the bright lights of Broadway!

Stay tuned!
