Flockworks Flockworks: Creative Art Programs 🎨
We are a non-profit in Fort Bragg, CA, fostering a love for art through hands-on, creative experiences.

Committed to creating a welcoming, inclusive environment that fosters artistic expression and community for all. Alleyway Art brings creativity into the unexpected places for Fort Bragg. Art@ Schools brings weekly art to 430 3rd to 5th grade student to Dana Gray School and 60 middle & HS students at the Alternative Ed Campus in Fort Bragg, Our broader focus takes hands-on arts, murals and mores out into the community--schools, events and organizations. Noyo Center for Marine Science is our partner on Main street--with art & Science, Maker's Space and more. Collaborative Strategies builds creative partnership with others working important community issues.

Come to a playful, imaginative afternoon of storytelling, movement, and art! Now happening every month —Starting Saturday, October 17! 📖✨

Local dance and theater artist Deborah Phillips will bring stories to life through movement, imagination, and interactive play. Children will have fun listening, moving, exploring their creativity, and expressing themselves as the story unfolds. We’ll wrap up with a hands-on art activity where everyone can create something of their own!

FREE! No prior experience needed. All materials included. We can’t wait to see you there!

What happens when young imaginations meet the creativity of local artists and community leaders? Something extraordinary!

The Creative Creatures Project celebrates the wild ideas, curious minds, and creative spirits of our Mendocino Coast community. Student drawings are brought to life by local artists and leaders, transforming imagination into one-of-a-kind works of art.

Every contribution supports Flockworks and its mission to uplift our community through art programs, arts education, and creative opportunities.

Introducing the art of polymer clay!

In this hands-on workshop series, with local jewelry artist Tara Turner, you’ll explore different techniques, experiment with color and texture, and create unique pieces to take home.

Workshops in the series include:

•Polymer Clay Terrazzo Jewelry
•Polymer Clay Trinket Dish
•Polymer Clay Jewelry Using Stamps and Pastels

About the artist: Tara Turner has created jewelry in her Fort Bragg studio for over 20 years, showing in local galleries and craft fairs. When she’s not making jewelry, she’s exploring new crafts and hunting for slugs.

FREE FAMILY ART: PUMPKIN DECORATING on October 10th from 1-3PM at 430 N. Main Street.🎃

Only two left this year! Join us this Saturday for a fun and creative afternoon of pumpkin decorating in Fort Bragg.

This workshop is part of the 2026 Family Free Art Workshop Series, led by local artist Julie Karlonas, Education Director at Flockworks Creative Center and the creative force behind all of our programming.

Julie brings art, creativity, and community together through hands-on programs designed to make art accessible and fun for everyone.

All ages are welcome, and all materials are provided. Parents must stay and participate with their children.

Come make art, decorate pumpkins, and spend a creative afternoon with your family and community.

Calling all artists! 🎨

This summer, our Camp Flockworks campers invented some truly wild creatures. There's Foxafly, a winged fox who lives in the forest. There's Lil Timmy, a cat who lives in New York and sometimes turns everything he sees into candy. And there's Princess, a shadowy creature whose superpower we'll let you discover for yourself. 👀

Now we want to see these creatures through YOUR eyes.

We're inviting local artists to take a camper's original drawing and reimagine it in their own medium. Paint it, sculpt it, sew it, print it, carve it, photograph it. Whatever you make, your piece will be auctioned off alongside the camper's original, with all proceeds supporting Flockworks programs for kids on the Mendocino Coast.

We have just a few spots left!

We’re proud to support local talent, and to have Dawrin Marroquin leading this special photography workshop in Spanish.

Dawrin brings his creativity and passion for photography to A Través De Nuestro Lente, helping participants discover how much they can create with something they already carry with them every day: their smartphone.

If you’ve ever wanted to take better photos, whether for a business or just for fun, or simply see your community from a new perspective, this workshop is for you.

We’re grateful that we can offer this opportunity to our community for FREE, thanks to the Leonian Foundation.
