Día de los Niñ@s (Children’s Day) Celebration at Redwood Elementary School: Another highlight this month!

Flockworks was honored to support the celebration centered on children’s joy, well-being, culture, and community — widely observed across many Latin American communities as a time to honor childhood.

In collaboration with Redwood teachers, and the Bilingual Liaisons from Fort Bragg Unified School District, Flockworks helped provide craft materials, where students created colorful streamers for a mini parade. We also connected the school with a local Folklórico dance group, supplied bubbles for students to enjoy, and supported activities throughout the day.

The result was a joyful celebration filled with cultural pride, music, movement, and community connection. We’re grateful to have been invited to be a part of such a meaningful day.

May has been eventful in the best way! We kicked off the month by partnering with the Fort Bragg Blues Festival to help with parking operations, then celebrated our incredible volunteers at the Volunteer Appreciation Party at Tall Guy Brewing.

A special thank you to festival organizer Pam Bell, pictured here with Tanya, Flockworks’ Communications & Outreach Director, for all her work bringing our community together for an incredible event, and for the opportunity to let us be a part of it! 💙

The event helped local nonprofits raise an incredible $10,600! Proceeds will support Flockworks, along with Mendo Food Network and Gloriana Musical Theatre.

Also, a heartfelt thank you to every volunteer who showed up, worked hard, and gave their time. Events like these wouldn’t happen without you.
